Beginning September 16, 2026, construction of a second vacation home is scheduled to take place on the same property as Sweet Tea. The new home will be located south of Sweet Tea, between the existing home and West Beach Boulevard. Construction is expected to continue for approximately eight months.
Construction activity is currently scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., seven days a week. During these hours, guests should expect varying levels of construction-related activity, which may include noise from machinery and power tools, workers on-site, construction vehicles and equipment, material deliveries, dust, and other temporary disturbances associated with an active residential construction project. The type and intensity of work may vary throughout the construction period.
Because the new residence will be constructed on the south/Gulf-facing side of Sweet Tea, some Gulf views may be affected or partially obstructed as construction progresses, and guests may experience reduced privacy on portions of the property facing the construction area.
Construction schedules, hours, and the nature of the work being performed are subject to change due to weather, scheduling, permitting, or other circumstances outside of Young's Suncoast's control.
Guests booking Sweet Tea during this construction period should do so with the understanding that construction activity and associated disturbances may occur during their stay. Refunds, rate adjustments, relocations, or other compensation will not be provided due to construction-related noise, activity, view changes, or other associated inconveniences.

The property is new, clean and well appointed. The property description and pictures were accurate. The beds were comfortable and kitchen was tooled well. I will stress clean because well it’s important. The furnishings and decor are updated and new. It felt like being home on the beach. The sunsets from the back decks are gorgeous! The beach is about a 10-15 min walk to public access spot. I would stay here again. The negatives— it’s a new place and like new construction things aren’t tested. Most of the exterior doors stuck or locks weren’t functioning properly. We had a trash issue our entire stay. We arrived to full cans and then the can was removed from the property and never returned. I called in a work order but issue was not resolved. There was a knat/fruit fly issue in kitchen. We did not call this in. The biggest issue was the elevator broke the first day and was not repaired. There are 37 steps from first floor to top floor. The kitchen and ice maker are on the top floor so loading the coolers and carrying them down the steps each day was quite a workout. Good thing we had teenage boys. Overall the property is great! Property Management needs to work out kinks. But if you’re considering this house I give it two thumbs up!
