Gent City B&B

The location was excellent, within walking distance of everything. the rooms were amazing and so clean. the shower was lovely. There was a coffee machine in the rooms. we could not fault this property

Comfortable bed, great shower, overall cleanliness.

Since it’s an old building, you can hear people talk / walk in and out easily. It didn’t keep me up though.

I honestly cannot recommend this B&B in Ghent highly enough, and I have to give a special mention to Olha, who was an absolutely wonderful host from start to finish. From the moment I arrived, Olha made me feel so welcome and comfortable and was genuinely one of the kindest hosts I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. What really stood out to me was how much she genuinely cared about my wellbeing. Unfortunately, I became unwell during my stay, and Olha went completely out of her way to help me, make sure I had everything I needed and check that I was okay. It was not something she had to do, and I was honestly so touched by how thoughtful and caring she was. Even after I had checked out and left, Olha actually messaged me to check that I was feeling better and that I was okay, which really says everything about the kind of person and host she is. That level of genuine care and hospitality is incredibly rare and made my stay feel so much more personal than simply staying in a B&B. The location is fantastic as well, making it a brilliant base for exploring Ghent, and the rooms are absolutely beautiful, comfortable, clean and full of character. The whole place has such a lovely feel to it and you can tell that a lot of thought and care has gone into making guests feel comfortable. Honestly, I would happily have paid considerably more for this place because I genuinely think it is incredible value for money and almost feels too cheap for the quality, location and level of hospitality you receive. Olha deserves so much credit because she went above and beyond in every way and made me feel genuinely looked after, especially when I wasn't feeling well. I cannot thank her enough for her kindness and thoughtfulness, and 1 would absolutely stay here again without hesitation.
