You’ll be staying one flight of stairs up, with a sweeping view of the sunset over the mountain, and the morning sun will wake you up in the bedroom. The garden is perfect for sitting outside.

The Accommodation
The apartment features a well-equipped kitchen. The bedroom has two large single beds that can also be used as a double bed. In the living room, the couch can also be used as a sleeper sofa for 1–2 people. You can relax in the sun in the garden. For your barbecue evening, there’s a rotisserie at the fire pit. Well-behaved dogs are also welcome.

Vacation Rental at Birkenau Farm

Farm Birkenau is surrounded by meadows, fields, and forests above the Primstal Dam. The spacious vacation rental is located in the outbuilding, so you can have complete privacy. However, please feel free to reach out to me if you’d like some tips or need anything.

At Hof Birkenau, you’ll also find a small seminar area that can be booked for courses.

The Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park is located right next door. From here, you can hike the Saar-Hunsrück-Steig trail and its romantic “dream loops.” A hike to the largest partially preserved Celtic ring wall—one of the three national park gateways—combines the joy of nature with culture and history. The Planet Trail around the Primstal Reservoir also invites you to take a leisurely stroll.
In the surrounding area, you’ll find beautiful bike trails, and trail riders also enjoy the adventure of roaming through the vast forests.
For larger groups, the studio can be booked as a seminar room and also as shared-room accommodations. Price upon request. Campground/bus/RV parking available upon request. Only available during a seminar at the farm.



On-site costs: The price does not include bed linens; the beds are not made. One set of towels is included in the price. A linens and towel package can be added to your reservation, or you may bring your own linens. Cost of rental bed linens/towels: 12 euros per person. A flat fee of 20 euros is charged for dogs; please arrange this in advance. If you are traveling with a dog, please bring your own bedding. Horse: €10 per day in your own electric-fence paddock; €12 for a rental paddock, including roughage. Please clean up after your horse yourself.
