Region: Herefordshire offers visitors the chance to journey through lush green countryside, enjoying splendid black-and-white timbered villages, a magnificent cathedral city, a fairytale Georgian castle at Eastnor or books galore in famous Hay-on-Wye.

Town: Malvern is an excellent centre for both long and short holidays. Its unique history, dramatic countryside and close proximity to numerous places of interest offer plenty for all visitors to discover. An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Malvern Hills form a 9-mile range of ancient rock, which offers 100 miles of footpaths and bridleways with natural springs and spectacular views in all directions.

Other outdoor activities available include high ropes, climbing and abseiling and fishing and river cruises are available nearby. A number of National Trust properties, gardens and vineyards are within easy reach. Malvern has many individual shops, cafes, art galleries and restaurants and a luxurious spa. Great Malvern dates back to the Bronze Age and is situated on the eastern side of the dramatic Malvern Hills.

It is just a short drive to the Three Counties Showground which hosts regular events – most notably RHS Malvern (May), The Royal Three Counties Show (June) and the Malvern Autumn Show (September). Worcester, one of the Three Choirs Festival cities, is within easy driving distance as are Tewkesbury, Hereford and the Wye valley.
