Designed for memorable family vacations, long weekends, and multi-generational stays, the home comfortably sleeps 12 and features two primary suites, a bright living and dining area with vaulted ceilings, an open-concept kitchen, and a second family room that gives everyone extra space to gather and unwind. Two screened porches, full-length rear decks, and multiple indoor and outdoor living areas make the home especially well suited for groups who want both connection and breathing room.

One of the home’s biggest advantages is its exceptional walkability. From here, guests can easily walk to the Bay beach, the newly installed community pool, tennis and pickleball courts, the private fishing and crabbing pier, Cape Henlopen State Park, the Cape May-Lewes Ferry terminal, and Docks on the Bay just down the road.

The backyard borders a tranquil canal where guests may spot turtles, frogs, and fish while enjoying morning coffee, sunset drinks, or relaxed dinners in the outdoor lounge and lower-level dining area. The cul-de-sac location is especially appealing for families, with very limited traffic for kids riding bikes, playing games, and enjoying the neighborhood more freely.

Cape Shores is prized for its waterfront location and resort-style amenities. Guests enjoy access to a newly installed pool, tennis and pickleball courts, and a private pier ideal for fishing, crabbing, water views, and osprey watching.

Cape Henlopen State Park is just steps away and offers some of the best recreation on the Delaware coast, with miles of paved and off-road trails for biking, running, and hiking. Guests can enjoy both the calmer Bay and the Atlantic Ocean side of the park, including ocean beaches for those who prefer body surfing and more active waves. The park also features a snack shop, frisbee golf course, a fishing pier with bait and tackle, a free bike-use barn, and a marine life museum.

From the community, guests can bike into downtown Lewes for King’s Ice Cream, Lewes Brewing Company, Lewes Oyster House, charming boutiques, and the town’s historic waterfront. Guests can also take the ferry to Cape May for shops and eateries, or ride the Gordon’s Pond Trail toward Rehoboth Beach and the boardwalk.

The home is thoughtfully equipped for an easy, elevated stay with an updated kitchen, central air, Wi-Fi, HD TVs with Fire Sticks, full-size washer and dryer, gas grill, and a covered, enclosed lower-level outdoor shower. Beach chairs, umbrellas, and toys are also available for guest use, making beach days even easier.

This property does not allow pets.

The property must be occupied for the entire rental period by the Guest signing the Lodging Agreement (Responsible Guest), and all occupants of the Property shall be supervised by the Responsible Guest. The Responsible Guest must be at least 25 years of age. If the party is made up of unrelated individuals (a group rental where the Responsible Guest is NOT the legal guardian/parent of any other guests), ALL guests occupying the property must be at least 25 years of age.

Guests must choose to purchase a $70 Vacation Rental Damage Insurance policy covering $3,000.00 in accidental damage or pay a refundable security deposit of $2,000.00. Policies of a lesser amount are not acceptable. This is an additional fee that will NOT be included on VRBO.

We accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Discover Credit Cards for your initial deposit. Final payments are due 30 days prior to your arrival date, and will be automatically charged to your card on file if not paid prior to the due date. If you’d like to make a payment with a personal check or eCheck, please contact your agent for details. NOTE: Any payments within 30 days of arrival are required to be in certified funds or by credit card.

VRBO BOOKINGS: This property is hosted by the management company noted as owner on this site. After booking the property you will be charged a booking fee by VRBO. ALL other fees and the rental amount will be charged by the management company and paid to the management company. Once you have booked on VRBO, you will be contacted by a representative from the management company via phone or email and you will be sent a Lodging Agreement that must be signed to confirm your reservation. Apart from damage protection, all fees associated with the booking are displayed in the VRBO booking. Unless indicated otherwise, Linens/Towels and paper products are NOT INCLUDED. Guests may rent Linens/Towels through the hosting company or bring their own.
