This modern/luxurious home featuring a large living room/dining/kitchen/work area combo, dramatic bay windows, textured stone wall/fireplace, fully stocked kitchen, modern amenities, cozy bedroom, specially commissioned artworks, laundry, and spa-like bathroom, this suite offers you a home away from home.

--The Living Room: You’ll be greeted by a charming front porch with patio chairs. As you enter the guest house, see the open and airy feeling of the living room and kitchen area. The walls are adorned with carefully curated artwork that adds a touch of sophistication to the space, features a comfortable, modern sofa (regular, not a sleeper sofa) with a large area rug, a WiFi-enabled smart TV, recessed electric fireplace. The unique Craftsman style large bay windows let in plenty of natural light,and a perfect spot to catch sunset. Custom-made extra long work desk, charging station, offers lots of space to spread out and work-from-home.

--The Kitchen: European-style modern minimalist design, with sleek dark grey cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, white quartz countertop, fully equipped with everything you need to put a meal together, including electric stove/oven range, refrigerator, microwave, and countertop toaster oven, dishwasher, dinnerware, silverware, and cookware etc.

--The Bedroom: Is located just off the living room and features a comfortable queen-sized bed with bedside reading lamps, down comforter (winter time only) and 4 pillows (2 memory foam), bedside wireless charging station. The room is decorated with specially commissioned art work. It has a small walk-in closet with shelves, hangers, iron/board for your clothing and storing of luggage. It has an attached bathroom. No couch or sleeping sofa.

--The Bathroom: Is accessible both from the bedroom and the living room, features shower with sleek glass doors, large-size Italian tiles, rainfall shower head. Euro style wall-mount vanity has drawers, modern fixtures, LED mirror etc.

--Laundry: Washer, dryer, detergent are provided in side your unit privately.

Throughout the guest house, you`ll find carefully curated artwork and decor that add a touch of elegance to the space. The furnishings are modern and comfortable, with clean lines and a minimalist aesthetic that allows the beauty of the craftsman-style architecture to shine through.

Your guest suite is located at the front portion of a Craftsman style house; it is attached to the main house with sound-insulated wall in between. The front porch and entrance are for your use only; owner uses the other entrance.

You do not have the access to the back yard. Everything you need is in side your unit.

You can send packages to yourself at this location, but this property doesn`t have a designated mailbox for guest use. Packages are left on the porch. We don`t recommend sending paper mail or documents to this address.

You can empty your trash into the black trash bin and your recycling into the grey/blue bin that are located outside of the house on its right side.

The street is narrow and parking is tight. You can park on the street right in front of our own house most of the time.

We are located in the quiet downtown residential Ryland neighborhood where it is mixed with large historic mansions, architecturally significant single family homes, small bungalow and 80`s apartment/condo complexes. Walking distance to public Light Rail Japantown station, the Ayer station, and restaurants, bars, coffee shops, grocery stores in Japantown. 15 min walk to the Coleman Ave shopping center where you can find Target, Trader Joe`s and array of restaurants and shops. 7 min drive(3 miles) to SJC airport, easy access to all major freeways 87, 280/680, 101 and 880. Close to Downtown San Jose employers, Convention Center, SAP Center and major transportation hub - the Diridon Station.

You can get here and around by car or by Light Rail public transportation. If you do bring a car, you can park on the street right in front of our own house most of the times (not 100% guaranteed) and make absolutely sure our driveway next to the stone wall at the very end is not blocked. Our street is narrow and parkings are alway tight. We ask you to respect our neighbors by not taking street spots that are directly in front of other houses, owners of those houses do need those spots.

Due to frequent back-to-back bookings, our housekeeping needs to have sufficient time in between to clean, so it is difficult to accommodate early check-in or late check-out requests. We recommend all guests factor this in when making a booking decision, and to have a plan to check in after our regular check in time 3:00pm.

**Please be informed that this 1-bedroom apartment has a size smaller than the average, measuring less than 500 square feet. Consequently, we advise against selecting it for individuals whose main priority is the size of the living space. We kindly request your consideration of this aspect when leaving a review of this apartment that focuses on size, a criterion that we have disclosed but unfortunately cannot control. Your understanding is greatly appreciated.

- No BBQ stove/gas tank to be brought in and used on the property
- If you see a package on the porch, unless it’s for you, please leave it there!
