Hotel Acadia

The location to everything was amazing. We could walk 3 minutes and have a good selection of restaurants to eat lunch or dinner at. We ended up getting an uber a few nights because I could no longer walk the hills after having to walk up 5 flights of stairs each day. The staff can make good suggestions if you're not able to do your own research,

I sent the property a note well in advance of our stay, letting them know I had a knee injury and requested to stay on the lower level. We ended up on the 5th floor with no elevator. Unfortunately, this basically thwarted our time in Quebec as my knee was subjected to the up and down the 5 flights of stairs each day. The bathtub was also so high that it felt dangerous for someone with a bad knee. I had to have my husband help me in and out of the shower.

Our room was excellent. We loved it. It was a 5th floor walk up (NO elevator), but staff helped with our bags. Room had quaint historic looking windows and decorated so lovely. Not much storage, but we managed. Hooks by the door were really helpful. Why don’t more hotels have lots of hooks? Easy storage for clothes. Staff is super helpful.

Although we booked a “superior” room, the staff tried to put us in a basement room. I was not staying there for 3 nights. At first they no other rooms, but we complained and they found one. This was my dream trip to QC, I wanted windows, light and some kind of view.

The staff was excellent, especially Ethan. Location was great. Just off busy street Breakfast was great

No elevator . Minor inconvenience only

Lovely old building brought up to date with modern style/facilities. Breakfast was excellent and available until 11:00
