was a decent sized room
was not overly clean and no extra towels or anything for 2 nights

It's exactly how it's supposed to be - A budget hotel. Yes, it's a bit rundown. But it was clean, adequately equipped, and comfortable. The towels and all bedsheets, blankets were clean but could use a replacement, they are old.
Overall, for one night this was a great stay and for anyone searching for a budget option in Halifax which is close to food and grocery stores, this is the place you should be in.
The owner (front desk) was friendly and responsive. I will recommend this place.

Many thanks to reception for still checking us in at 2am after our flight was delayed. Really appreciated. Good location for travelling and shops/food
Room was clean but needed a bit of TLC. The bed creaked, the tap on the sink was loose. That sort of thing. Overall it was acceptable for one night at the price, but may have been a problem if staying longer.
