Vagabond Lodge at Kicking Horse

This lodge is an absolutely magical find—spotless, well-organized, and wonderfully inviting. It strikes the perfect balance between a warm, homey atmosphere and complete privacy. The main common area is a fantastic gathering spot that naturally bridges cultures and encourages great conversations among the guests. It’s an intimate setting where thoughtful touches, like scattered board games and a shared jigsaw puzzle in the lobby, make it incredibly easy to connect with others. Kim, the host, is truly the heart of this place. She radiates genuine hospitality, making everyone feel completely at ease, and even went out of her way to invite us to dinner—something she absolutely didn't have to do. If it weren't so far away from home, we would be back again in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!

The Lodge is extremely comfortable and welcoming. It provides a homey vibe with lots of amenities - games, books, shared fridge, access to coffee and team, a workout area, pool table, sauna and hot tub. The location is very close to gondola and next door to a great little restaurant. Breakfast was tasty.

We absolutely loved our stay at this property. The views were excellent, and the property itself felt so warm, comfortable and homely. Kim, our host, was incredibly friendly, welcoming and accommodating throughout our stay. The location was fantastic, within easy walking distance of plenty of restaurants, as well as the lift to visit Boo the Bear and continue up to the summit. Breakfast was another highlight — excellent quality, delicious food and a great way to start the day. We had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend this property to others!

Beautiful rustic lodge nestled into the mountain at Kicking Horse. The room was exceptionally comfy, we loved the cosy communal areas (complete with log burning fire) and the breakfast was exceptional!
