Staff were fantastic.

The restaurant/Bar is not open on Sat/Sun which makes it difficult to get food if you don't have a car

The hotel is well-presented, with ample parking and friendly, welcoming staff. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was nice. Adding a greater variety of breakfast options would make the experience even better.

I was asked to make a deposit at check-in, it would be helpful to clearly communicate the refundable security deposit requirement before check-in. Providing this information in advance would allow guests to plan accordingly. The deposit was conveniently refunded to me at check-out.

The cleanliness and the staff

The room was comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. The bathroom also was good.

We arrived tired and hungry after a long day travelling. On arrival we were told as it was a Saturday the restaurant was shut. They didn’t open at weekends. Apparently this was stated on the website, which we hadn’t noticed as we were booking several hotels during our month of travelling. As the hotel was isolated there were no restaurants within walking distance. What the hotel offered instead were frozen microwave meals that you could purchase. Which unfortunately we did. We were given 2 plastic knives and forks to use. I would like to challenge the manager of the Hilton to try themselves to microwave a meal in a hotel room, with no plates to put the food on,trying to open plastic bags the pipping hot food is in with a plastic knife and then eat the disgusting mess from a cardboard container. I do not think this is an acceptable standard for a Hilton hotel.
