Hidden Valley Resort, an Ascend Collection Resort

We had a nice little balcony looking out on a grassy area with a tree. My grandson loved the beach and lake. The dining room is attractive and the buffet breakfast is verty generous.

When I booked, I was told I'd haver a lake view. I didn't. The very helpful person at the front desk gave us breakfast vouchers as a consolation: very much appreciated. Our toilet paper ran out. At about 10 PM, I walked out to the front desk in my PJs and slippers to get more

Loved the outdoor vibes, reminded me of like dirty dancing. The renovations are beautiful. Use of outdoor activities great, beautiful little beach. Salt water pool and hot tub were wonderful! Obsessed with heated bathroom floors now!

I wish there was a clear path from the facility to the beach from both sides of the building would be ideal. As well as clearer directions down at the beach for using the outdoor amenities. I had to keep calling front desk to ask where things were and where to sign it out etc.

The view of the lake was absolutely gorgeous! It is the best part of the hotel. I love that we had access the lake and use the boat and life jackets.

There was a wedding event happening when we stayed during the weekend. The music was still going on past 10pm. There were people drinking in the pool and hot tub area. The walls were thin. We could hear people arguing in the hallway around 11pm. One individual appeared drunk with his 2 young children. He banged on our hotel room door several times while we were sleeping. We had the door locked and we used the deadbolt as well. Even with the door locked somehow the door popped open. Fortunately we had the deadbolt on which prevented him from coming in. My husband informed the man that this wasn't his room. We informed the front desk. The receptionist was quick to give us a different room with better lock. I wish the lock on the door was more secure. It was scary that it happened.
