room is a little run down. But for the price, it is acceptable. The doors are not smooth to open which kills the first impression. TV is good with youtube. Perfect for a road trip. Location is awesome. It can become a premium property if there is more care in the amenities including rental for canoe or BBQ facilities.

The view and the peace, especially the night sky

The motel is beautifully located overlooking the oxtongue river conveniently located on highway. The interior room with comfortable queen bed was clean, updated bathroom and French door to patio.

Bright lights outside the room at night created too much light in room. The restaurant was not open. Not a flower in sight and wood exterior needing maintenance are easy fixes to make the property more appealing.

The price I paid is for the location I guess. I booked the lakeview two bedroom cottage as well as a lakeview family room for our stay. The cottage was big and spacious enough for our three children to play around and 5 adults to hang out without being congested. The only downside was the cleanliness. There were cobwebs along the windows everywhere, the utensils provided were not washed well. The cutlery had a slight eggy smell. We had carried most of the things so we were okay. Anything we had to use, we washed before using. The bathroom was clean and decent. The rooms were decent. We hadn’t gone in with a lot of expectations anyway so we weren’t thrown off. All in all, we had fun. If you’re looking for a place to spend the evening while you explore the park throughout the day—I would say go for it.
