Adventure Hotel

The location is excellent right in town and walking distance to everything in town. The rooms themselves are basic, clean and comfortable, good value for the price. The staff were very friendly.

There is no elevator so be prepared to carry luggage up the stairs. Also despite having phoned months before when we booked to ensure we had either adjoining rooms or rooms next door, when we arrived we were on different floors. It just meant that the peope next door to our daughter and grandbaby complained about the noise ( babys cry people!), instead of us being there. You pay for what you get, it is half hostel, half hotel, with some rooms having a shared shower. All rooms share a lounge with kitchen where there are fridges and coffee and tea. We paid extra for a deluxe queen, but it is still basic and room size on the small size. It was perfectly adequate and for what we paid great value, just don't expect high end and you'll be happy. Although there is parking it is limited, so be prepared to either pay or walk a bit when its full. They do mention this and they mean it, so be prepared to maybe park further away.

The ambiance

The location was great being down town and close to all the shopping and restaurants.

We had asked for a quiet room and were contacted from staff saying the king beds were over the bar. They gave us the option to switch to a queen bed with a bit of a view. We ended up with a view of the parking lot and next to some kind of intake fan inside the walls that ran all night long. Would have rather had the king and a couple hours of bar noise. Beds aren't very comfortable either.
