Location is excellent and our suite was perfect size for our family of 3. the breakfast and the 24hr coffee / snack station is also a great addition.

Great location, extremely friendly and helpful staff. Plus that they gave us slippers and still water (2 bottles every day).

The hotel is rather old and it shows. The rooms are dark and not soundproof so you hear everything from the outside. Our toilet clogged several times during the stay for no reason - the staff was super helpful and had it unclogged quickly each time, but it was still inconvenient. The breakfast is not great and is not varied at all - some fruit, boiled eggs and bagels/pastries and that’s it.

The beds were comfortable, the hotel was quiet, and the location was excellent for exploring New York on foot. We walked everywhere, from Central Park to the Financial District, and appreciated having a comfortable, peaceful place to return to.

The rooftop is prominently advertised, but it was closed for an event on Friday, Saturday and Sunday of our four-day stay. There was no advance warning that Thursday would be our only chance to use it, so we never got to experience it. When I complained, the hotel’s response was that we had access on Thursday. Without knowing about the forthcoming closures, however, we had no reason to prioritise using it that day. Advance notice would have allowed us to plan around this. The continental breakfast consisted of pastries, bagels that could be toasted, boiled eggs and yoghurts. It met the description, but the selection felt basic for the price of the stay. Having paid $3,092, I was disappointed that the response to my complaint was an offer of a $75 refund. Although I appreciated the gesture, it felt modest given that the rooftop was unavailable for three of our four days. Better communication and a more understanding response would have made a considerable difference.
