Wingate by Wyndham Calgary Airport

We were glad it was close to the airport. The nicest part of the stay was Alyssa who kindly brought my Amazon delivery to the airport when she drove out the airport shuttle. The price was pretty cheap which I thought was important at the time of booking.

The sign in the passage eluding to there being a guest laundry: "Guest Laundry Out of Order". Misleading as there is NO guest laundry. I assumed, because the same hotel in Calgary south had a guest laundry and a Chromecast TV, the this one would too. One of the late night clerks on duty was quite lacking in charm. The hotel is only Large Dog Pet Friendly. The treats given were only for a 30-40 lb dog not 10 lb dogs. The price for a pet is way too expensive. Our 2 x 10 lb dogs who are NON-SHEDDING and therefore hypo-allergenic cost $60 for the night. $50 for the 1st dog and $10 for the 2nd dog. A woman checked in at the same time with an adorable huge 50 lb SHEDDING, allergenic, Lab Retriever. Her charge $50. Totally unfair! In addition the pet fee is for "up to 7 days". Who stays at an airport hotel for more than one or two nights???? A rip off.

I really like the location of this property very close to the airport. I had my small dog with me as well and they were very accommodating.
