Avion Inn Near LGA Airport, an Ascend Collection Hotel

The lady working at the front desk was very accommodating and friendly! The hotel itself was very clean & our room was great! Also very affordable!

Affordable, clean, small but available off street parking; close by airport LaGuardia for quick layovers

Seem to be in a back alley or industrial park; early morning Jet taking off will disturb late sleepers

I booked this hotel because my flight out of LaGuardia was cancelled and, at $247 a night, this was sadly one of the most affordable options near the airport. Pros: Near the airport, airport shuttle, slightly less outrageously priced than other airport area hotels, area feels safe to me as a middle-aged white lady traveling alone, friendly employees

Cons: The place reeked of weed. The walls are very thin and you can hear someone talking at normal volume in hallway and in next room and can also hear the traffic from the nearby highway and busy streets. The breakfast was a bag with an old crumbled granola bar, pre-packaged cornbread that was too sweet and too stale, apple juice, and a sad brown apple. The coffee was also terrible. They also have copies of The Epoch Times, a fascist newspaper, displayed out in the lobby. This is a decent enough place if you desperately need to stay somewhere close to LaGuardia. I don’t recommend it for any reason other than needing to stay close to airport at less than $300 a night. If you want to explore New York or have a romantic getaway, this is not the hotel for you.
