Close to the beach. Great breakfast and area to enjoy it. Felt safe walking around there at any time of the day.

They did a great job remodeling a motor inn

The staff was very friendly and helpful. There were bikes available to borrow. The cocktail hour was a nice touch. The room was spacious and both the bathroom and kitchen were nicely updated. The location was in perfect walking distance to the waterfront with access to restaurants and maritime museum.

The bedroom decor was in very good condition but of dated design. The floors could use a good scrubbing and there was no fitted sheet on the bed so it kept coming undone.

The rooms were well appointed. The breakfast was very good. There was coffee and soda is available throughout the day. Excellent location right in the heart of Carmel.

The walls were very thin. We could literally hear every word of the conversation of the people besides us. Initially, they put us in a ground level room. It was very uncomfortable. It felt like we were in the basement. My husband and I woke up and could not breathe. Our nose were so stuffy and we were so congested. I don’t know what was going on down there. We requested to move to a different floor and they did accommodate us which I was thankful for. Also the parking was not good. Spaces were so tight. It sounds silly, but when you can’t get out of the car and you’re already tired from traveling and the spaces are so tight it’s just an added hassle. The woman at the front desk told us that you just have to hope there’s a space available and if there’s not, you have to park on the street. That is not cool. Don’t advertise parking is available if you’re not guaranteed spot. Happy hour was appealing to us however, the wine was low quality wine. The cookies were advertised as a plus but again they were just cookies. The hot tub and sauna for only open from 9 AM until 9 PM. So coming back from dinner and wanted to go in the hot tub after dinner did not work because it was already shut down for the night.
