The Franciscan Hotel

Big clean, comfortable rooms Great location Nice breakfast Afternoon cookies Free parking

We enjoyed our stay

Close to the sea front. Good parking facilities. Easy to get to off the highway. Nice continental breakfast included.

We were close to the cleaners room so got a bit noisy in the morning. And other guests nearby were noisy. Although this would not put us off staying there again.

We had a wonderful stay at The Franciscan Hotel! The location is excellent, just a short walk from the beach, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. One of the best things about the hotel is the complimentary bicycles! We took advantage of them and went for a beautiful sunset ride along the beachfront bike path. It turned out to be one of the most memorable experiences of our entire California trip! The breakfast was another pleasant surprise. Although it was described as complimentary, it felt like a proper full breakfast, with a great variety of food to suit different tastes. We really enjoyed it! Overall, a fantastic experience, and we would definitely recommend this hotel!

The location was really good.

The room had a very strong smell of bleach or another cleaning product, so strong that we had to keep the windows open all night. The window screens also had large holes in them.
