Menger Hotel

I love the history of the hotel! The location is the best! Everyone was very friendly. Everything was great!

The only negative I could say was it was too dark in the room. A few more lamps would help.

Location location location. And historic value.

Price of valet parking is outrageous. The charge for late checkout after noon is out of line.

Garden

The property is gorgeous. We had some major issues with our room but at check out we spoke to a manager and they refunded our entire stay.

Unfortunately, we got a suite that had known plumbing issues. The bath tub faucet wouldn’t turn off and ran hot water at nearly full blast the entire stay ( 2 days) in the Kampmann suite. The hotel knew about this issue and still rented out the room. The hotel was fully booked and they could not move us. The tub and shower were completely unusable due to this problem and the bathroom became a steam room. Also, there were no real extra amenities with booking a suite. Flimsy plastic cups rather than glassware, generic soaps/shampoos etc., no robes as advertised, single ply toilet paper that was damp due to our bathtub issue. At $400 per night, plumbing issues aside, I felt that those little touches should have been part of the stay. Since the hotel refunded our stay, I can’t complain too much but the guest experience would be much improved with some basic upgrades in their most expensive rooms.
