Masterpiece Hotel

They were very flexible. We were burned out of our scheduled accommodations in Big Sur but they accommodated our need for an extra night.

Facilities are clean but way out dated. Breakfast is not adequate for hours of activity that day. Fortunately food was excellent close to the hotel.

The Masterpiece hotel was nice and clean. Close to the places my family and I wanted to go to in Morro Bay. It was a good value for the money, especially the room that we got. The traffic noise was minimal at best. Nothing that we were not already accustomed to living in the city. The room was spacious. The bathroom was clean. The breakfast was okay at best. The staff at the reception were pretty nice. Did not meet anyone rude.

There was no A/C. Although the area is cool. I think that this hotel was relying on the weather to be cool at night for them not to necessitate A/C installation. The heater, although working, exudes some kind of a burnt smell. We just turned it off. One of the light fixtures was not working. The ceiling fan, although it was up there and we tried to turn it on but didn't. And it felt like it was gonna fall down from the ceiling. The loud footsteps of the people or guests on the floor on top of us can be heard rather significantly especially through the night when the surrounding area including the streets are quiet. And lastly, the parking was a little tight and somewhat limited. But the receptionist told us we could park on the street in case the lot was full.

I liked the room layout and the area beds were comfortable

It was very hot day and night and the room had no big enough fan to keep us cool the fan in room just did work well

I liked the location

There is no AC and the ceiling fan didn’t work. The furniture is a bit rough looking and uncomfortable.
