Pleasant Inn

The bed is extra comfortable, perfect for travel. The woman at the desk was very nice and welcoming? (9/30 afternoon) The higher ceilings and color scheme are nice, and it was great to have the chairs. Cute space!

We know you can't help it, but the bathroom is micro & toilet pretty low. Not a massive issue, except for a person dealing with leg pain (53 staples), and unable to lift himself up with arms (due to heart surgery). Again, not the fault of the hotel, but a taller toilet would be nice. Lol

Perfect location central to everything, great value for today’s prices. You can hear sea lions in the morning with your window open! There’s a table and chairs by the office with some plants surrounding it so we enjoyed an al fresco breakfast serenaded by sea life. Had a lovely stay though I can see why lots of people wouldn’t be used to staying in a motel this size. Great water pressure with lots of instant hot water. They gave us an upgrade to a bigger room which was very kind of them because even that one was still a tight squeeze- just think of it as a European! If you need American sizes of showers, sinks, toilets, etc. it’s not the motel for you.

The only negative thing is the toilet height. Strange thing to mention but it really is THAT low to the ground and tight squeeze with the walls on both sides that it was an issue. There is also strangely an unnecessary door stop on the exterior of the front door that was broken and wouldn’t stay up on its own (room 8) & this made it a hassle every single time we closed the door having to manually hold it up all the way until the door fully closed. Easy quick fix needed here. The parking lot was a strange tight fit but we never had issues.
