If you're looking for a place to stay in the North Beach area of San Francisco, this hotel is it. Located in the middle of North Beach this hotel embraces the charm of the 60s. Every room's decor reflects the period of the 60s.

As with many older buildings there are stairs one must navigate with luggage. There isn't parking for cars which can be a bit challenging in this very popular neighborhood.

the location is fantastic with a short walk downtown. We ended up taking advantage of the free wine tasting next door and it was so lovely. Loved the vibe at Tank and they were just so nice there.

the room was small and the bathroom is weird with a glass panel in the shower and no real door? It is an older property but has been updated and decently maintained. It is nice to have a continental breakfast delivered to your room but the offerings aren't great and I think it is terrible that they charge extra for coffee or tea. You basically get a couple of hard boiled eggs and a muffin which is not as good as a low cost hotel. And you have to choose a time the night before. The second day, we just walked to the coffee shop that opened at 6:30. Definitely not a hotel for early risers.
