I don't think you can beat this location in Grand Marais. It was walkable to restaurants and shops. We had a wonderful view of the lake from our balcony. Our two bedroom/two bathroom suite was spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. The kitchen was well equipped. It was very nice to have a washer/dryer also. Coffee was available in the lobby in the morning.

The place was very clean, the staff were all very welcoming and helpful, and the view was beautiful! The location is also fantastic! Very close to a co-op with excellent groceries, restaurants, donut shop, and a wonderful small but mighty bookstore! Hope to visit again soon!

Excellent location right by the water. Even our non-water facing room had a nice balcony with decent views of the little main street and out towards the harbor.
We were unaware that the hotel is now condo’s run by East Bay like a hybrid air B&B. Our room was very small with a Murphy bed and kitchenette. Much of the building was going through renovations and was unfinished. The receptionist(s) seemed uninformed. The last day we were there the whole first floor smelled like urine.
