Le Marceau Bastille

The hotel is impeccably clean, with good facilities and a quiet atmosphere; it enjoys a good (and strategic) location in the 12th arrondissement. Above all, the staff is extremely cordial, helpful, and friendly—with Alexandra’s service being truly exceptional.

We stayed here twice in 10 days and were very pleased with our choice. This is a small well-run and quiet hotel, well sited for access to the Metro and for the Gare de Lyon. There are lots of bars and restaurants in the immediate area. The rooms were clean comfortable and quiet. The breakfast is excellent and served in the stylish art gallery dining area. The staff were friendly and efficient.

Good breakfast, great central location, near the Bastille metro station but clean area, handy to everything including bus stops, eateries, river Seine, staff were very friendly and always they greeted, a wardrobe on each side of the bed.

Room could do with better lighting although there was a window only one side of the room to let the light in but not sufficient;, bathroom was small, shower over the bath tub; tight space for a side table to keep drinks etc; wifi very slow at the side of the hotel where our room was; room was not spacious enough for two suitcases, it was inconvenient having to keep these at the doorway. Few English TV channels would have been much appreciated as everything was in French and all English programmes and movies were dubbed in French.

Close to Gare de Lyon

I sent all the infos for the invoice and they didn't spend the time to read them I specifically asked them while leaving and they told me not to worry about it and that I would have received it by mail
