Remvi

I stayed at Remvi for 4 nights in September as part of a solo trip. Yiannis the owner sent a taxi to meet me at the port and they waited when the ferry was late. He had my room ready even though I was very early to check in. The hotel is small, but exactly like the photos. But my room was lovely and spacious, and so clean. The beach (Galisass) is very small and it has an extremely small village feel, but for what I wanted which was complete rest and relaxation this suited me perfectly. Around the pool and the whole place was very still, peaceful and quiet. The pool bar offered drinks and snacks and there is a very small shop nearby. I was really happy to have a coffee maker, kettle and small kitchen utensils and a portable hob in my room. The cleanliness was exceptional and also the service was very discrete. It was genuinely warm and welcoming and felt like home. I wasn't sure what to expect with it being a small hotel, but it honestly felt like I was at home. Great proximity to buses or taxis, and a few lovely little restaurants in the area too. To go into the capital which is so lovely isn't a hassle either. My first visit to Syros and I'd definitely be back, I loved the homely feel. If you want peace, quiet but a base to explore this is a perfect hotel, I wished I'd stayed for longer.

The hotel was great and the pictures matched reality. The owner (Yiannis) was absolutely legend to take care of our group all the time. Location was good, beach, restaurants, couple small markets and one bar very close. Not much going on this beach (Galissas) so would recommend to take bus or taxi to other beaches aswell but on the other side it has a very local vibe. Hotel bar offers some basic snacks, food and drink if you want to have a lunch at the pool. Island city center (Ermoupoli) only around 10-13min away with taxi. Local bus stop is right on the beach.

The property itself was great. Just small details such as minimal provision of tea/coffee/milk which most hotels do. I was given 1 coffee pod per day ( no milk although there were about 10 sachets of sugar ? )
