Il San Pietro di Positano

Il San Pietro is magnificent and cozy at the same time — by far the best 5 star hotel we've ever been to. The architecture and interior design show attention to details, the garden is delightful and picturesque, and the personnel is very thoughtful (special thanks go to Mr. Rabesco for support in planning the special event). Whatever room you get, the panoramic view should be wonderful because the hotel stands on the rock. There are two restaurants, and both offer amazing food experience.

Quite simply, an exceptional hotel. The setting is extraordinary, with breathtaking views from both the terraces and the rooms. The interiors are supremely elegant - classy rather than flashy, with an effortless sense of style that feels perfectly suited to the surroundings. The tennis court, overlooking the sea, must surely be one of the most beautiful anywhere. Playing there in such a setting was an experience in itself. What truly sets Il San Pietro apart, however, is its people. The reception, concierge and housekeeping teams are an absolute credit to the hotel: warm, attentive and genuinely thoughtful, while always maintaining the highest standards of professionalism. A particular mention must go to the General Manager, Andrea, who is truly one of a kind. Gracious, engaging and seemingly present everywhere without ever being intrusive - very much the right man in the right place. His personality and attention to detail seem to embody everything that makes this hotel so special. I have been fortunate enough to stay at some of the world's finest hotels, and Il San Pietro stands amongst the very best of them. In fact, taken as a whole, this may well have been the best hotel experience I have ever had. Effortless, elegant and genuinely memorable. A perfect 10.
