Great place located 20 minutes from Cannon Beach and even closer to seaside beach. Gearhart by the Sea was located right across from another hotel and golf course with a bar and restaurant with great food and drinks. The place was also walking distance to a beach access. The porch has a slight view of the ocean too.

This property was clean and welcoming. We had our two children with us and they slept comfortably on the pullout bed in the living room. (We also had our dog, and he stayed comfortably on his dog bed that we brought.) We used the kitchen for most of our meals and it had all the basics for cooking. My only suggestion would be that they purchase a nonstick pan to make eggs. The beach was easily accessible via a path out the back of the property. We also enjoyed the indoor pool nearby. We appreciated the quiet setting of the golf course, and yet we were close enough to Seaside for family activities. Tip: There’s a Gearheart coffee shop nearby and it had DELICIOUS breakfast food and baked goods. A must visit. We will be back. Thank you for a pleasant stay!

Great stay!

This is a ground level unit with a minimal view of the ocean. The side-by-side recliner and circular chair is the stuff video gamers (and excited 6-year-olds - see the guest journal ) revere. We like Gearhart but will be leery when considering units in this complex.
