La Maison Montparnasse

The room was clean and functional with a double superior bed (which was comfortable) with lovely big windows (bedroom & bathroom) and light bathroom. Good air conditioning, For central Paris, a reasonable amount of space. Good black out curtains and a quiet street. The location was great, 3 mins walk from the nearest metro station and there were plenty of restaurants and small shops, bakeries close by. A great base for sight seeing.

A couple of times I took a shower it was cool, which wasn't so bad in warm summer conditions but wouldn't have been good in cooler weather! No chair in room, just a stool.

Slept very well until the garbage trucks arrived under my window. Aside from that it was the best sleep I had in months. The mattress was wonderful. The comforter perfect. Clean room and bath. Well maintained. I did not take their breakfast as there were so many pastries in the immediate area. 15 min walk to Gare Montparnesse. Circular stairs a bit of a challenge but there is an elevator. I would book again.

I would have appreciated a luggage rack. The shelving provider was just too small for my suitcase so I had to put it on the floor.

Proximity to town

The hotel can do better by introducing menus for lunch or dinner as well as a bar at night.Mini bars in the room will also be helpful. There were no hair dryers or shower caps in the room
