A lovely stay in a beautiful hotel . However the light at night under the door plus a flashing fire alarm in the room meant my sleep was disturbed through out the night ☹️
The food especially the afternoon tea was very good .

A great room, lovely staff and excellent breakfast. The gardens and the view were marvellous.
The only downside is that the restaurant was not open on the night we were there. However, it was only a walk or short taxi ride into town

The staff and service were excellent. Lovely food, and all very comfortable.
I would have rated my stay excellent but the single room I stayed in had a fairly unpleasant smell, which did not go away despite opening both the bedroom and bath room windows and leaving them open all night.

The hotel was located in a quiet setting and had a peaceful atmosphere. The staff were all very helpful and pleasant. The breakfast was hot and fresh and served at the table. There were gowns and slippers in the bedroom along with daily homemade cookies
The bedroom fell far below our expectations. The wallpaper was stained, the carpet was wrinkled and came away from the thresh on the first morning, this was quickly put right by staff. The seal on the shower door sprang open at the bottom which meant stepping out of the shower onto a wet floor/bathmat. On the second day the hospitality tray was replenished and the towels folded, however the bed had not been made and the carpet hadn't been vacuumed.
