Villa Ketty is great. The rooms are spotless; the bed comfortable and spacious. Antonio is very easy to communicate with even in my broken Italian - he speaks v good English but I need to practice. We didn't use the pool but the views to be had from the terrace are wonderful especially the sunsets. Breakfast is a feast - a feast of a lot of homemade delicious produce.

I had messaged before we went and asked if it would be possible to have a small packed breakfast on our first visit as we were off to Capri to beat the crowds - thoroughly recommend doing this as the queue for the chairlift when we came back down was 1.5-2 hours!!! - but Antonio couldn't really get his head round why we were going so early. He did offer us to have a coffee and a cake with him before we left but there was no time. A little bag of a piece of fruit, a cake, a slice of bread and cheese would have been perfectly acceptable. Be aware that there is a ten minute downhill then up on the return to the station and the town - not a problem for us. There is the option for a member of staff to run you to the station

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very special and welcome. The road to get to the villa is very narrow but Antonio (and his cute little dog!) came to pick us up in his tuktuk. We arrived late in the evening and this was not an issue. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean with a beutiful sea view from our window. Breakfast is exceptional ! Lots of choice both hot and cold, with many products from the beautiful gardens. I am already missing the cappucino, cake, fresh tomatoes and so many cheeses! We did stay for dinner on a few occasions, there are home cooked daily specials and the pizza party was fantastic! I am vegetarian and this was no problem at all. The pool area is lovely and quiet, you can purchase drinks from the bar. It is a 10 minute walk into Vico Equense itself and to the train station which provides easy connection to Naples, Pompeii and Sorrento.The Marina is a nice place to walk to but be prepared for lots of stairs! We were lucky to be in Vico Equense for the food festival 'Pizza a Vico', we have never seen so many pizza flavours! Overall, we had a fantastic stay, Antonio, his lovely family and the fabulous friendly staff could not do enough for us and that is what makes this place extra special!

As expected there are some mosquitos around so make sure to come prepared with protection, we did get a few bites.
