We had ordered dinner but arrived too late, so the staff had meats, cheeses and fruit ready in the room for us when we arrived-that was amazing!! The room was so very spacious, very clean and had everything we needed for our short stay. The reason we booked here was the view...it didn't disappoint!! A little cloudy, but we sat outside and enjoyed the view. Breakfast was also very good with a great selection of options.

This is an outstanding, family run hotel in a stunning location. Friendly, efficient staff, comfortable and beautifully-appointed lounge and dining areas, delicious food (we especially loved the bread selection) and just a wonderful attention to detail that made us instantly feel at home. I particularly loved the arrangements of fresh flowers, cut from the owners garden. And of course, the amazing view! What a fantastic place - feel lucky to have stayed here.
The only slight disappointment was that we didn't find the beds very comfy. The wooden frames seemed too small for anyone over 6ft and the mattresses weren't as comfortable as we usually find in other hotels. Perhaps they are due to be updated? However, this would not stop us from returning in a heartbeat, as everything else was so perfect.

Fabulous location, views and service….staff were excellent …. Lovely Swiss chalet environment, rooms were large and comfortable. Excellent variety of choices for breakfast. Evening meal option was superb

Wonderful charming hotel! Wengen was such a surprising treat for us and the hotel contributed to that experience. The great service started at the train station where the porter picked us up with our luggage (not traveling lite) and took us to our delightful room. Very nice breakfast, too. We known Switzerland is expensive but our stay at the Alpenrose was wonderful!
I really can’t think of anything to comment on which is rare. This is a gem of hotel! Would be nice if Switzerland was less costly but not anything the hotel can do about that.
