Everything was excellent!
The staff was extremely friendly & went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant experience.
The breakfast was delicious! The afternoon wine and cheese was also delightful!
I would definitely recommend this charming hotel.

Lovely art deco hotel by the canal. Breakfast was great - plenty of choice, eggs prepared in front of you any way you want them including french toast. Free cheese from 4-6pm and free bar was a really lovely touch. Great location and we were able to walk to numerous restaurants. Staff were very friendly and went out of their way to try and be helpful. There was a lift!
Things seem to not be able to be fixed at the weekends - there was an issue with the loo and there apparently was no maintenance person to mend it for 3 days, and the coffee machine at breakfast was broken for several days. Rooms are ‘cozy’ but what I expected in Amsterdam. Only a coffee machine in the room, no tea (I’m a Brit, what can I say) but the lovely staff gave us a kettle.

We really liked the location, the generous breakfast and the “living room” feel of the lobby. Coffee and other beverages were available 24/7. Small snacks were provided each day and a wine cart with cheeses in the late afternoon. It was a nice place to relax and meet other guests…or not.
We unknowingly booked their big first floor suite. It was very large and convenient to the lobby, but the furniture was a tad funky and it was quite dark. It looked out on a “back courtyard”. More like a cement alley. Not worth the money.

We liked the daily happy hour with cheeses trolley & all day wine, sodas & coffee & tea. Bed was & chairs in room comfortable.
In room refrigerator was not at all cold. Staff said those fridges were not for keeping things chilled just slightly cold. Every hotel we have ever been to always had small fridges that chill well. They offered to keep my meds & other items in the hotel refrigerator. Cleaning staff did not really clean anything , sink nor toilet, just exchanged towels. One time she made she made up the bed
