Fantastic location - city centre, everything within walking distance, but the apartment itself on a small quiet street - perfect!

Sadly, on arrival, the apartment wasn’t as clean as we would expect - the previous occupants rubbish was still in the kitchen bin, two empty bottles of wine on the side, the dishwasher hadn’t been emptied and the washing machine was full of towels. (Appreciate this is not the owners fault but the cleaner needs alerting) Whilst the shower worked - the main overhead shower head was missing and the other shower attachments, whilst working had nowhere to hang - no issue in being able to shower, but somewhat annoying having to hold the shower head. As previous reviews state, the bathroom door doesn’t lock or indeed stay closed - you needed to pop a towel against it to secure it.

We loved the authentic French apartment down a really quiet but brilliantly located apartment. Beds were comfortable. Coffee maker great. Bathroom fine. Kitchen ok.Loved being able to easily pop back to the apartment during the day.

We were travelling light but wouldn't have enjoyed carrying heavy suitcases up the steep steps. If you don't like steps this isn't for you. Whilst we were there the main shower head was broken which was a bit of a pain as washing your hair whilst holding a shower head isn't easy. The pocket sliding door to the bathroom doesn't close completely which isn't ideal but for most people won't cause massive problems.

Fantastic location. Very good advance communication with host’s representative, very clear key instructions. Flat was clean, beds were very comfy in BOTH rooms, shower hot. Coffee capsules and a few things that were generous. Didn’t try TV but internet was fine.

Only one thing but it is serious and needs to be addressed as another reviewer has mentioned and clearly nothing has been done. The internal doors are sliding and don’t necessarily shut tightly but the bathroom/toilet door slides back open and is straight into the living room, which is unacceptable from a privacy perspective. It would be so easy to hammer in a hook to keep the door shut - just do it!

It is a beautiful flat in a very central part of downtown Bordeaux. The street was very quiet, but it was late February. I do not know what it’s like in the warmer part of the year.

The flat requires quite some maintenance. I assisted the owner by pointing out all aspects which need repair and hope that he or she will take quick action as it is a really nice place
