Boutique Hotel Parklane - Newly Renovated

Location, very close to the city center. I was offered a parking place in the underground garage for a very decent price! Very friendly staff.

The room is clean.

I booked three rooms, and one of them had electricity issues, which meant we had to move to a different building. While the original room itself was nice, the building we were moved to is a bit small and old. Because we had large luggage, it was very difficult to open two big suitcases in the new room. Additionally, one of our other rooms had a problem with the shower temperature labels—hot water was coming out on the blue side instead of the red side. I think this is quite dangerous for guests using it.

Location was good, right next to Stadtpark and a 10-15 minute walk to a lot of the main sightseeing spots. The staff was very helpful and courteous. They accommodated my request for a slightly earlier check in, extra pillows, and even very kindly kept our luggage post-checkout since our flight was later in the evening. This allowed us to do one final walk around Vienna. The room was very spacious for a European hotel. For some, the bed may have been too soft, but for me it was perfect. I slept like the dead.

The WiFi was nonexistent. It would connect for a few seconds and then just stay disconnected/ very slow. The facilities were decent and newly renovated, however there was evidence of wear and tear - like a wobbly toilet roll holder, stains on the walls, a lopsided window blind. Thankfully, our room was in a corner, so not sandwiched between rooms, but it was evident that soundproofing wasn’t too great, specially in between the bathroom and whatever was on the other side of the wall.

Good location, cleaned satisfactorily.

WiFi not configured properly, unusable for both guests. Television and remote control didn't work, had to unplug the screen to turn the TV off. Television positioned such that it wasn't possible to see it from the bed. The only chair in the room was unusable because the legs weren't screwed in and it was unsafe to sit on. Overall, you're really just paying for a basic bed and shower with no other working facilities, so it was poor value for money.
