La Casa di Alma Luxury rooms

Great location. Lovely shabby chic building/room.

Breakfast was a bit tight on space and limited choice, but ok.

The residence was as we had hoped for as far as its authenticity, comfort and security were concerned. The decoration, furniture and linen were lovely. Contact with Mario before check in was easy and reassuring. Breakfast was sufficient, albeit basic. We would stay again if .. please see my comments

Unfortunately, housekeeping let the residence down. We returned from our Mt Etna trip hoping for either a glass of water or a cup of tea to find neither water or milk had been replenished. We called Mario, but all he offered was that he would speak to Mrs Pinu(?) Also, from the shower to the bed my feet became dirty as the floor needed cleaning. Please see the photograph as, when I got into bed, grime from the floor was wiped from my feet onto the sheet The air conditioning was very noisy, in fact it sounded like a washing machine!!! Had to turn it off overnight.

Good breakfast, comfortable location and good size of the rooms.

Lack of maintenance, in particular in the bathroom.

None

We arrived at night on time. There was nobody to anwer our call. We were kept on the dark street for almost half an hour and were just about to look for another hotel. We were saved by a lodger in that building who made a phone call to the manager. The room was very basic and many plants were dead in their pots. A kettle was provided, there was sugar but no tee bagsThe breakfast room is very small and guests have to sit sideway to fit themselves around the table. The lady in charge was not very friendly. TO ADVERTISE THE SUITES AS LUXURY ROOMS IS TO DECEIVE TOURISTS AND IS AN INSULT TO THEIR TASTE AND COMFORT. BEST RATING IS 2 STARS SUITE AND TO REMOVE LUXURY ROOMS FROM THE ADVERTISMENT. The location is OK but does not offer a big advantage as it is not too close to the centre.
