McKay Manor on Duckworth

Location was perfect, walkable to all major bars or tourist attractions. Check in was a smooth process. The room was spacious with an extremely comfortable bed.

Only downside was wifi wasn’t great. The shower was tiny and uncomfortable as the shower head wouldn’t move so it faced the wall.

Pretty room with a lovely view from the window

Lack of towels. There are literally two bath towels and some hand towels and nowhere really adequate to dry them after use. If like me you have long hair, there is now towel suitable for your hair. There is also only one small towel rail so hard to dry your towel between uses. It wasn’t noted that the room we had booked was up 3 flights of stairs which we found a struggle with our luggage. Had we known we would have booked a room on the lower floor. But our biggest issue, and perhaps not the property’s fault was the noise. It’s so close to George street that the loud music and be heard well in to 4am on the weekends. We were there Wednesday to Sunday and only managed on nights sleep on the night we arrived. The next 3 nights was disrupted by loud music and cars screaming along the main road. Unfortunately this meant the it wasn’t a relaxing stay at McKay Manor.

Clean and spacious apartment. Late check-in instructions were impeccable and simple to follow.

Great location, short walk to all attractions in downtown and George Street.

Location was great and I appreciated the access to the kitchen and hosts were very communicative

Bed was terribly uncomfortable. The shower in the washroom was tiny and very hard to shower in.
