About this house rental
Two bedrooms with 1 queen & 1 double bed, full kitchen, television and gas fireplace, original maple hardwood floors in living room and 1 bedroom, Cork floors in kitchen and master bedroom. Ceramic tiled entry and bathroom, walk in shower and separate claw foot tub on lower level. Walk out basement with direct access to trail system. Newly landscaped with large lawn area. Home was completely gutted with brand new electrical, plumbing & heating systems installed. Spray foam insulation was added to be energy efficient and eliminate outside noise. We added central air-conditioning, in time for summer heat waves. We are connected to WI FI. Note: After the spring flooding on nearby ATV and snowmobile trails, we are happy to let you know that the trails have reopened in Finland and all the way toward Ely. Work is still being done on trails around Silver Bay. 😌😊

This property was developed with an eye for quality. It is charming and comfortable. Everything we had a need for was available. Our hosts were prompt in their responses to us all week. Staying on this property made our trip extremely pleasant.

My wife and I stayed at Sisu House for a week in September. Everything went very smoothly, the rental was as described. Beautiful remodel of an older home, the paint, trim, windows all new and really nicely done. Also, this house is draft-free, it seemed like the temperature held very steady. Highly recommended.

My wife and I had 2 guests from France. The house was perfect for the 4 of us. Very clean and well kept. Also not too far from the North Shore. We were very happy to find such a nice place.

My family and I had a great experience! We had planned to stay there outside of our state park hiking time and it had all the needed amenities and was a very enjoyable atmosphere. Thank you for providing a place that felt like home.

Everything was clean and set up. Very well stocked kitchen. Checking in and out was quick and easy. We felt very welcome and comfortable in the Sisu house. It was a perfect base to go out and explore the beautiful north shore! So many things to do and see in every direction.

The house was small, yet wonderfully arranged and remodeled. We loved all of the Scandinavian words and books. It's very close to lots of great North Shore areas to explore. We have loved visiting the North Shore since we honeymooned in Tofte, and were able to bring our kids for a few days to let them explore and experience the wonder and beauty of the area. Diane was wonderful to work with, and seems like a genuinely nice and thoughtful person. Overall we would recommend this to anybody who would like to go explore the North Shore.

Sisu House is a gem. This was our 2nd time staying here as a family. It is very clean, beautiful, well-maintained, and cozy home. The kitchen is well-stocked, and our kids appreciated a lot of room in the backyard to play and have a bonfire. Close to many of our favorite places on the North Shore. Diane is a wonderful host. Highly recommend!

We stayed 5 days during the week enjoying the North Shore. This property is perfectly situated for easy day trips up and down the Shore. Definitely worth a revisit.
Diane, our Host, was wonderful to work with. It is nice having a host live nearby the rental. (Diane, I must add that your husband did a marvelous job remodeling the house. The craftsmanship is wonderful.)

The property is a quaint cottage with a large backyard. Additional paperwork required at check. Guests need to bring shampoo and conditioner as these are not provided.

This was our second stay at Sisu House while in town visiting family and attending a reunion during Bay Days. So nice to have more than a hotel room during our week long stay where we could relax at the end of the day and could prepare meals. The kitchen is very well appointed. Diane is a great host! We are looking forward to another stay in the future :)

We found this Delightful place to stay for the weekend while joining the annual Ride The Shore ATV event. It was clean and well maintained with everything we needed! Will definitely be back!

This is a very cozy get away. It was so nice to be away from the crowds on the shore and not hear any neighbors. The home was immaculate with everything and more that you need in the kitchen. The Finnish theme to the house is adorable. We will definitely stay again.

It was truly a great place for base camp. We didn’t spend much time at the house because we were up there to specifically see the State Parks. With that being said we couldn’t have gotten a better location minutes within several state parks. I wish the bug situation was a little better so we could’ve sat by a campfire but it is what it is being up north! Outside of that it was a great stay.

My husband Paul and I recently stayed for a long weekend at the Wonderful Sisu House in Finland, Mn. This was our second stay at this peaceful, lovely and charming property, and it will not be our last! :) Diane is an amazing host! The house is beyond cozy and Finland is Beautiful. Plus, it's a prime location for the plethora of surrounding attractions. Do not hesitate to rent this North Shore gem!

Close to the state park where we spent most of our time. Finland was near by and had nice places to eat. The house was a fun and relaxing place to stay.

Once again, a perfect snowmobiling weekend at a fabulous location. Wonderful winter weather, wonderful accommodations, wonderful hosts, wonderful laughs and loads of fun!

This is the third time I’ve stayed at this location and it is well located for dog sledding in Isabella. Diane was helpful in finding a church to attend locally Sunday morning.
Unfortunately the shower was quite full of hair from a prior guest (or maybe their dog?) so I had to clean that up before my friend/guest saw that, I was a little embarrassed about that and a little grossed out too but I’m not going to be dissuaded from staying here again if I go dogsledding again.

We love this cabin! So cozy. Went xc skiing in Isabella flathorn trails. Close to state parks. Cooked great meals. Loved the fireplace. Wonderful decor , learned all about Sisu reading the books!

A great place to stay when snowmobiling the North Shore. Clean, warm, well furnished and comfortable. 1.5 miles to Finland for gas or food and the big state trail. Great owners!

We loved this cottage. It is the beautifully and lovingly updated childhood home of your hostess. Amazing location in the hills of the Baptism River. Everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay is provided.
