The mattress on left side was somewhat broken down There was not much space for our suitcase. We don't empty everything into drawers for just a few nites, like to pack so everything is convenient to use right from our suitcase.. the map furnished at checkin to locate sights was very unclear. No street names in many cases. Also didn't get information about the hotel amenities, including pool location etc.

Fab location for visiting downtown San Antonio. Very close to The Alamo and to the river. Recommend walking along the river the The Pearl Brewery (about 1½ miles). The river walk is fabulous with some great bars an restaurants very close to the hotel. Breakfast was great (except cereals, see below). Lovely mushroom & cheese omelette and plenty of bacon

My sole criticism of this hotel is that all the cereals on offer for breakfast were sugar coated or chocolate. Not great for people trying to reduce sugar intake.

Słabe Wi-Fi. Mocno spóźnione śniadanie w drugim dniu. Bardzo droga oferta parkingu hotelowego (48$ doba); lepiej zostawić 150 metrów od hotelu na miejskim (10$ doba).

From the beginning of arriving the valet staff was wonderful, Damien was the gentleman that greet it us and was very informative and his customer service was on point!!! The front desk agent named Marquee was also very friendly helpful and informative his customer service was excellent, I would recommend and will stay at the Hilton Garden Inn San Antonio Downtown Riverwalk again in my future trips to SA!! Breakfast Buffet was also a plus the ladies and the chef Rene were wonderful and the food tasted amazing!! Can’t say enough about my experience. It has definitely topped my stays at many hotels near this one and I’m glad I made my reservation here.

Location was great for river walk and Alamo exhibit. Lots of near by restaurants.

Breakfast was NOT worth $18! We could’ve gone to a nice restaurant for a lot less. Total rip off! The freshly made omelets were the only thing that was good. Sausages were over cooked and crunchy. They were out of fruit and yogurt. The pastries and muffins were very dry like they could’ve been a few days old. Brown sugar for oatmeal was hard as a rock. Very disappointed!! The gentlemen who checked us in was not personable and very unfriendly. It was like we were bothering him when we asked questions. Since they didn’t have on site parking We asked about places to park and he told us to go ask the Valet Parkers outside. Definitely a BIG disappointment for a Marriot!

Blankets were brought to the room quickly upon request, beds and pillows were comfortable, and valet staff were great. I liked the location as well.

I made 1 request upon booking and that was a room away from elevators and ice machines. I received a quick confirmation of those requests in writing. Upon check-in I was given a room directly behind the elevators and could easily hear the elevator “ding” through the wall. I called the desk and they gave me another room which was fine. Upon check-in I was told room cleaning was not every day and if I wanted it I could request that. I was only staying for 2 nights and requested the room to be made up the next day (or it would not have been attended to at all during my stay). Perhaps this request was not transferred to the new room I was given, but when I returned around 5 pm that next day the room had not been cleaned. Beds were unmade and there wasn’t coffee for the next morning. Printer at front desk wasn’t working when I checked in so they were unable to give us a printed copy of hotel info. We were told to scan the QR code in the room to obtain that information. That QR code didn’t work—it kept spinning and never pulled any info up.

The fire alarm went off at 3 in the morning and then every hour until 8 am. then construction workers started making noise. did not get any sleep. the ladies working desk were not the friendliest.
