I can not say enough about Jose and his property! We traveled to Spain to visit friends in the same town and we wanted to be close to them. The location was amazing and the accommodations lived up to our expectations. The amount of private space we had was incredible from the separate bonus sitting room in the foyer, the indoor out door living room and the roof top deck! Jose was so nice to communicate with and he made our stay extremely enjoyable. He even provided up with dinner options and events which were happening during this holiday period. If you are in Jerez, this is a place you should stay!!! Thank you Jose!

We spent a month in this amazing apartment in Jerez. The location is perfect. Close to everything but on a quiet street. We wanted to live like locals and we were certainly able to do that! The apartment was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The outside courtyard dining room was a huge plus. The rooftop is also a nice bonus. It’s two stories up some steep steps but worth it :) Jose is awesome. He had a lot of great advice about where to eat and where to visit. Some of places we discovered like Bolonia Beach and Grazalema weren’t on our list but were definitely worth the trip. And he and his wife helped us get to Tarifa which was above and beyond. We were so grateful! He also made sure that we knew what was going on in town so we could participate. Jerez is a great spot to be as a base. Not only is there lots to see and do in town but with the airport and train links it was easy to get to Cadiz, Seville and Cordoba without a car. There is parking at the apartment so if you do rent a car there is a garage to park it in. There is lots of excellent food to enjoy and we loved the vibe. We will definitely go back one day. We had a super stay in Jerez. Jose was the perfect host and provided us with lots of current info about restaurants, sights etc. The apartment is very spacious with several additional, outside areas that we were invited to use. The downstairs, open, dining area was great for lunches. This is a very good value for money apartment. Not a modern, shiny, character-free flat but it does have all the things you need for an extended stay.

The apartment is large and cosy and keeps cool even on hot days or nights. There are different outside spaces that makes it very enjoyable to spend time, have dinner or a late glass of sherry. The owners live above, are very nice and helpful and just a second away if we needed any help or had any questions. Thank you very much. It was great!

Just back from a weeks holiday spent in our most favorite place on earth - Jerez de la Frontera, city of the great Spanish horses, narrow authentic streets and bars with Sivilliana and Flamenco dancers, the unbeatable Sherry wines and the tapas bars. José was again a gem of a host for our second visit. José was so helpful with travel information and even parked his car nearby so we could access his garage on site. Everything is exactly as pictured, a Spick and Span super comfortable apartment with a beautiful terrace overlooking the rooftops. And behind the apartment a cozy cool Bodega The location is perfect, in the old part of Jerez, on a narrow quiet street, just a block or two from the centre. José gave us lots of suggestions on where to shop, inquired about the things we like and really wanted to make our stay as personal as possible. Maps and travel info, restaurant recommendations were so appreciated. We asked José dozens of questions, José overwhelmed us with suggestions. It is not for nothing that José has 100 reviews on VRBO with the highest odds!!! I hope to visit José next year and would definitely stay in this first class apartment! This home has it all, a city centre location within 5mins walk of El Arenal, the Alcazar, and all the historic attractions in this beautiful city. The apartment is sparklingly clean and very comfortable, better than advertised. It is on the ground floor of a very traditional home, no noise, no fuss and you are the only guest in the house with access to a cool shaded atrium, a roof terrace and a library. It was a pleasure to meet Jose who knows his city and couldn't be more welcoming or more helpful.....we will be back again.

If you are travelling to Jerez this is the ideal place to stay. In the centre of the city with Mercado, Bodegas, Flamenco bars & some excellent restaurants within a few hundred metres. The owner of the apartment Jose was a fantastic host. He was full of passion and love for his adopted city. Jose knows Jerez like the back of his hand and is full of excellent advice and suggestions of what to see and do. The apartment was a €16 Euro taxi ride from the airport. The two bedroom apartment was clean and well appointed. A small functional kitchen perfect for cooking the fresh producte of the local market which includes a huge variety of supremely fresh fish and seafood, we recommend the red prawns and the salmonetta (baby red mullet). Jose also generously made his rooftop sun trap patio available to us. Jose allowed us to leave our luggage in his home on our day of check out as our flights were at 20:00. Jerez is home to some great festivals they are a real bonus. Spanish railways are much much less expensive than UK and are very punctual...Jerez station is approx 600 metres from Jose's apartment ideal for a day in Seville or Cadiz. Apartment very clean, tidy and well-equipped. Traditionally built to cope with the warm weather, with it's own bodega and roof terrace. Located close to the city centre with all its history, restaurants, bars, shops and lovely plazas. The owner was on hand if needed but not obtrusive. We really enjoyed our stay and ventured to the coast by train one day. Station a short walk away. Best meal we had was at Alcazaba just around the corner. Reasonably priced and well cooked spanish food.

This Jerez property is lovely, charming, clean, tastefully decorated, comfortable and perfectly situated to explore Jerez. But it is much more than that too. It is run by the most thoughtful and caring owners you could hope for! Jose & Marian go out of their way to ensure a wonderful stay. If you are considering visiting Jerez - and you ought to if you want an authentic "living in a Spanish town" experience- stay here. Enjoy drinks on your roof terrace and meals in your private three-walled bodega-like space (it's great!); walk out the door and into the center of town for anything you need and lots of things you'll want; and pragmatically, take advantage of Jerez's excellent transportation hub with ttains connecting you easily to Cadiz, Sevilla, and much more. We stayed one month. We should have stayed longer!

This is an excellent property, spacious and well equipped with unique outside spaces. After the heat of the day it provided a wonderful retreat. It is in easy walking distance to the centre and there are supermarkets, covered market and tapas bars even closer. José met us upon arrival and was in contact with us all week, providing us with some very useful suggestions for our stay. Jerez has many places of interest , the Alcazar Palace, Cathedral, Spanish riding school as well as many Sherry bodegas. It is a good base to visit Cadiz, Seville or other villages by train or bus. We highly recommend this property and our wonderful hosts Jose and Mariann.

Jose’s place is quite delightful and a lovely retreat from the city. The apartment is well equipped and is a generous and inviting space. Jose lives upstairs so he is available should you need anything .... he is very welcoming and helpful in every way possible. If you need or plan to stay on Jerez then you will be very happy here.

We (three adults in our 50-60’s) stayed for five nights and all I can say is Jerez exceeded our expectations! Jose, the host, speaks great English and was friendly, welcoming and gave us a number of suggestions. The apartment is older but very large and had a wonderful covered outside area which was great as it was still very hot when we stayed (up to 32 deg). Many bars and cafes are just minutes walk and is still in easy walking distance to some of the Bodegas and Andalucian Equistrian centre. Taxi around corner and train station 10 mins walk with regular services to Cádiz, Seville, Madrid etc. We had two nights of spontaneous entertainment up in the plaza which was fantastic and discovered a number of really good tapas bars (Boutade) and a lovely restaurant on our last night that Jose recommended (Albala). Will definitely stay again if we come back to Jerez!.

Jose the owner was on the door step to greet us on arrival and then he showed us around the ground floor and carefully explained how things work. It really is a delightful house and the guest area is so very well furnished and appointed; a lot of attention has been paid to the detail. It is also very quiet having thick walls and being situated in a narrow street with very little passing traffic. The house has great character in the Andalucian style whilst many of the contents reflect the character of Jerez itself. We loved it. It is only minutes walk away from the town centre where you just fall over tapas bars and restaurants everywhere. And everyone is so friendly and helpful. We thank Jose and we certainly plan to stay again if he will have us!

Have just returned from a weeks break in Jerez. The apartment was lovely and we especially enjoyed the dining area outside as well as the roof top terrace, great place to sit and enjoy a local sherry! The apartment is in a great central location and Jose was extremely friendly and very helpful giving us some useful advice on local flamenco bars and days out.

We would consider going back to Jerez just to stay in this roomy, well-appointed apartment with a killer rooftop terrace, an al fresco, furnished sherry cave (hard to explain) and a location steps away from flamenco, tapas and so much more. Bonus points for good bed, appliances, well-equipped kitchen and excellent internet. One of us was telecommuting from there, and the inclusion of a separate office with desk, desk chair, conference table, etc., is hard to find anywhere. Jose is a gracious, generous host and tipster to the city who went far beyond the call of duty to send helpful information before we arrived and make sure we were comfortable once we were there. Although he and his lovely wife live in the floor above, we never heard them, and their respect for our privacy was absolute. Jerez is a bit of the Rodney Dangerfield of Andalucia, but we were there five nights and found something new to discover and enjoy every day. It has an excellent market, the best churro in Spain and flamenco the way natives like it - in neighborhood tabernas, not flashy shows. It's also an excellent base for exploring the region including Arcos de la Frontera, Cadiz and others.

Spent 2 weeks here in August 2016. Ground floor apartment in a very centrally located house - just a few meters away from the local markets, bars, restaurants and shopping streets. We loved to buy/eat the local food from the busy market each morning, drink the local sherry - the famous sherry&flamenco bar - Tabanco El Pasaje is just around the corner and visiting wineries - we tried Sandman Sherry and Luis Perez wine. We hired a car for a few days and took the short drives to El Puerto de Santa Maria, Cadiz and a local beach at Rota - each about 20-30 minutes away. Jose, the owner, was a great source of local knowledge and provided us with plenty of ideas and recommendations. The apartment is well shaded from the hot sun, clean and well equipped. Everyone will love the dining area that is open on one side - you just have to see it to understand this unusual room. Steps also lead to a sunny roof terrace with tables& chairs and sun beds. We came here to experience traditional Spain and I would strongly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for the same.

We were in this apartment for 4 weeks in May 2014. If you are looking for a traditional, original Spanish apartment you are in the right place. The house was built in 1890. There is also a kind of patio where you can comfortably take your meals. The decor is very tasteful and typical Spanish. A staircase in the courtyard leads you to the spacious roof terrace. Sun loungers are available and lines where you can hang up your laundry. In the kitchen you will find all the necessary utensils to prepare meals and also a washing machine. On the ground floor you can use an office when needed. Since our laptop was temporarily for repair, we have received a loan from the owner. The apartment is located in the center of Jerez, so you can reach everything by foot. Located in the immediate vicinity are many cafes, restaurants and a large supermarket. An internet cafe can be found not far away. Across the street is the El Pasaje Tabanco, a traditional pub with a large selection of sherry and live performances of Andalusian flamenco musicians, with free admission. Only rarely does a tourist get there. For trips to Seville or other cities you can take the train. The train station is about 10 minutes away by foot. The owner José and his wife Marian were always incredibly helpful and very kind. Thank you for the wonderful time. We would rent the apartment at any time again. best regards Christina and Armin
