We booked the apartment for a stay of about a week with a family of two adults and two kids. The place is really comfortable, stylishly designed and has all the necessary equipment. it was very spatious with two toilets/bathrooms and two large bedrooms. You have a private balcony with sea view (very pretty) and a swimming pool on the roof (for the whole building, but it was always empty so it felt like a private pool). We were to Madeira without a car, so for us it was extremelu convenient that the bus no 4 stops right next door and takes us to downtown Funchal (from where you can also catch other buses or taxis to make trips). We had a great time and strongly recommend the place, especially for families with children.

The seaview was lovely. it is a spacious apartment, that is well equipped with comfortable beds.

Absolutely nothing, it was perfect for our families needs (3) If you have mobility issues, you will need a car, as Madeira is very hilly and the apartment is on a steep hill.

I can definitely recommend staying at this apartment. It has AC and heat if needed and really anything you can ask for. 2 spacious rooms, bright big windows, great view and spacious terrace, parking outside and downstairs, massive TV, fast internet, welcome fruits and wine and so much more. After just a few days we felt very much at home. The owner Stefan is always available and can be called and reached anytime if needed. He provided a booklet in multiple languages with trip info, house info as well as restaurant info which was very much appreciated. Upstairs is a pool and chairs if needed.

Location was a bit out of the way, but in a nice area.

I sent a complaint to Booking during our stay to try to resolve the problems. They never replied. This host was rude and unhelpful. We arranged a transport from the airport - the hosts forgot to set it up. We got to the apartment - apparently we were supposed to call the cleaning crew (?) We waited for an hour outside the apartment to check in. When the cleaning people arrived, they let us in. We sat in the living room while they cleaned the apartment (very awkward). The apartment was unsafe. A piece of trim fell and hit my two year old right away. Later, a cabinet door fell and hurt my foot. We sent photos when we settled into the apartment of broken and damaged things. One of the toilets was broken, so there was only one toilet we could use during our stay. The apartment was SWARMING with ants. The ants were so bad, they were in cabinets with only dishes in them. We were wrapping things in plastic, keeping bread in the microwave, constantly killing ants and washing countertops to try to keep them at bay. When we finally saw the owner, he told us this wasn’t his problem. He said “nothing is perfect” and that he told us to go buy ant poison. He acted like the ant problem is all over the island (we live here now - it is NOT). It’s like a run-down, shabby, ant-infested Airbnb. He aggressively offered us 50 euro or something hilarious as though we were trying to extort money from him (we spent over $1500 I think for the stay). Save your money and go somewhere else. This apartment should NOT be on Booking.com.

clean, spacious, convenient location, quiet apartment block, late checkout not a problem, parking, pool, views, clothes washing facilities, a/c, sharp kitchen knives!

pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable and need replacing, broken blind in one bedroom, other bedroom had a blind which did not cut out light, no plug in kitchen sink or washing up bowl, no grill pan for oven or oven mitts, regular bad smells from both bathrooms, traffic noise and barking dogs at night disturbed sleep.

out of mains trip close to huge supermarket and bakeries … very safe. stunning view out over the ocean perfect for watching sunsets from the balcony. apartment was equipped with everything we could need. the hosts also left us out some beautiful fresh fruits, cake and wine for our arrival and provided all cleaning products and towels etc. incredibly spacious. by far the best hosts we have ever come across, helping us with a guide for the best walks on the island and making some fantastic restaurant recommendations! stay here , you will not be disappointed!

we stayed at Madeira Mar Seaview for 2 weeks in August 2021. the apartment is spacescous, comfortable and fully equipped.everything we needed was provided and we even got fresh fruit as a welcome gift! there were enough boards, glasses, cups and other kitchen utensils available, including sharp knifes and bowls.everything worked perfectly. the apartment is very clean and has 2 spacious bedrooms as well as 2 nice bathrooms. the air-conditioning worked well and the view from the balcony is stunning. we also rented our car through stefan&silvia and were extremely happy with their communication and flexibility throughout our stay. it is a great asset to have a car as we were able to visit different places on the island evey day. by bus it would take several hours. we explored the whole island (still havent seen everything) and found our favourite swimning spot in the north near Santana. we have visited a lot European Islands in the past and can say without a doubt that Madeira is our favourite: beautiful nature, water and people! People say Madeira is the Hawaii of Europe. as someone who has actually been to Hawaii we can only agree. the islands impressive steep cliffs, green mountains and beautiful sea reminded us of the oldest of the Hawaiian Islands, Kauai. as we still haven't seen everything we will definitely come vack to Madeira and stay at the Madeira Mar Seaview.
