Michaela took care of everything. We had the most wonderful trip to Belize. The house was gorgeous, clean and if we needed anything at all Michaela took care of it. Everyone was so nice, so much to do on and off the island of San Pedro. Food was amazing from private chef. Bring lots of tip money, everything is so reasonable and there is no one you will meet that you won’t want to thank for the experience!

We had a terrific time in Villa Opal at Perla de Caribe. Unfortunately, we missed a day due to airline issues and that cut the stay very short for the long travel days, but Perla de Caribe is great.

This vacation was one for the books! We were a group of 7 ladies and I can say that every part of our stay made us all feel wonderful. The staff was very attentive. The villa (Opal) was more than we expected. We loved the Villa Chef (Maria) and used her quite often. The shared pool was never crowded. Michaela was great in helping us coordinate excursions. We were all sad to leave and already planning a trip back! While the location is a little far from San Pedro town, it was not difficult to travel there via golf cart. Everyone was ridiculously nice and helpful.

Walking distance to amazing food. The property was beautiful and the views were second to none. If you are looking to play on the beach San Pedro might not be for you. Don't let that stop you. Let Roberto and his team take you out snorkeling, diving, fishing, and to secret swimming spots. We made life long friends in this awesome country. Michalea is the host- She is wonderful and will make sure your experience there is perfect.

The property was absolutely beautiful; the staff was totally accommodating and we loved our visit. If we had a need, there was someone there to take care of it. We used the kayaks, and set up scuba, snorkeling and golf cart rentals through the office. Every morning there was someone cleaning the beach and the sand. There are only two restaurants within walking distance but they were both good. I recommend La Perla for a wonderful, relaxing vacation.

Family of 7 adventure in Belize
The property is beautiful, it’s rare for us to find a place that our family of 7 can all have their own beds. We had so much space to spread out and hang out. There is plenty of supplies and they provide bottle water and ice. The property manager was helpful and set up a private chef dinner for us one night. The property is a 30 minute golf cart ride on a very bumpy road outside of town. If you want to cook your own meals on vacation it’s a great location but we had to drive back and forth every day. They do their best to keep the beach clean but we just used the pool. Secret beach is the nicest beach and it’s 20 minute drive. The WiFi didn’t work well which was a challenge when my husband had to do some work. It’s the perfect location if you want to escape the hustle.

Beautiful grounds. Sadly we dealt with a cockroach infestation that the property manager knew about. It was horrifying as the room they were in happened to have bed setup for my kids to sleep in. Spent months looking forward to this trip. Was not right to allow us book this room knowing that there is a roach problem. Seems selfish- as long as you get your money- who cares right?

Would definitely come back
First off, Michaela and her staff made our trip so enjoyable. She was available for any question, any request and helped us navigate an issue we had with our cart rental... on her day off!! The property is beautiful. We stayed in Opal (2 families of 4) and it was the perfect set up. We loved how quiet the area was. We drove into San Pedro several times and went to Secret Beach twice. We would recommend Blue Bayou at Secret Beach, The Truck Stop and The Garage. Having Sundecks so close was great too. We ordered salads from them several times during the week.
We kayaked out to the reef and snorkled several times. If that's something you'd want to do, bring your snorkel gear!
We will definitely be back to La Perla!

Belize Beach House
We had a great time at this beach property. The staff does a great job of keeping the grounds and house clean, safe and secure. We had a lot of fun fishing with a local charter company, Beach BBQ, snorkeling and swimming with sharks & rays, swimming at sunset beach, eating at new and different restaurants and exploring the area. It was a great experience and highly recommend.

Wonderful property 5.5 miles north of town. About a 20 min. golf cart ride to town. But far enough from the hustle and bustle. Great restaurants within walking distance. Roberto is the tour operator for diving, snorkeling and fishing. Michaela and her housekeeping staff are amazing.

Beautiful place but too far from town. For safety reasons & shopping convenience, I didn’t like the location. My husband has no complaints but I had a few concerns since I spent time in the kitchen and laundry room. The kitchen stove required matches to use. I only had one roll of paper towel & one roll of toilet paper in each bathroom to work with (we were a party of 11). The laundry room sink had a leak which flooded the room. The laundry room doors is off & didn’t close properly. The fans in the recreational room didn’t work but was fixed afterwards. Gorgeous view but when walking out to pier, the stench of the orange seaweeds was overwhelming. The property was very clean & well manicured by the awesome landscapers that worked everyday...raking the sand into patterns. Despite the little blemishes, our hostess Makayla, compensated by gifting us these amazing, beautifully-arranged fruit trays.Would I recommend this place to others? Absolutely!

Our family from various corners of the US met for a beautiful 6 day getaway based out of Villa Opal. Everyone at La Perla Del Caribe was spectacular. The snorkeling just off the property which was accessible by complimentary kayak was exquisite. Maria Galvez, a local chef, prepared our amazing lobster Thanksgiving feast. Norma at Diamond Adventures arranged a full day catamaran snorkeling trip for all of us. The golf carts were there and ready for us. The location with the reef is the best reason to choose this accommodation and the wonderful hospitality directed by the lovely Alexa is a great reason to return! (Remember to reserve a grill in advance if you need it for a particular night! It all worked out, another tenant was finished by the time we needed it) Also, the 5.5 miles to town seems a lot longer due to the conditions of the road but that is just something to know. Travel can be arranged by boat to different restaurants or town. One night we even had pizza delivered by boat!

Beautiful comfortable house that we shared with other couples. Complete privacy for all the guests. It was clean and the air conditioning worked well the entire stay. villa itself was beautiful and the staff was courteous and helpful.Unfortunately due to the Sargasso seaweed on the beach, we were unable to swim on our beach. The pool was also closed far too often during our stay so there were a number of days that we had nowhere close by to swim which was very unfortunate with 4 children.

Our group of 10 stayed at La Perla in January 2018 and it lived up to our hopes for true Belizean villas in a beautiful location. We loved the quiet locale and being on the north side. From the views to the pool to the white sand, the grounds are impeccable. The onsite staff is top notch and helped us handle many different excursions and situations. The villas have large beautiful decks and are furnished nicely. Just a wonderful vacation, if you want to really get away from it all.

We stayed at the Opal for 1 week. Was a great size for the 10 of us. The house was clean and the kids enjoyed both the pool table and the pool right across from our balcony. Staff was very nice and helpful. The helped us organize transport and excursions before we arrived and as well as while we were there. The little grocery store was close and town was 30 minute golf cart ride. We ate most of our meals (very basic) at the house but did drive once to town for dinner.

Our stay at Villa Opal in La Perla del Caribe was incredible! It was almost like we had our own private resort. From mediating & working out on the pier, to hanging at the pool with a drink in our hand, every moment was amazing! The home was well equipped & Mr. Bol and Felix were unbelievably accommodating. The only complaint is the bugs... we could not go out for more than 10 seconds without a bite, unless we were doused in bug repellant. Tips: buy a mosquito net for babies & buy water from Felix (5 gal) - much cheaper!
