The Goodenough Hotel London

The location of the hotel is excellent, tucked into a secluded square and near plenty of parks and dining opportunities. You can walk to many key attractions and access to public transport is wonderful.

I had forgotten since my previous stay how odious and narrow the stairs are, and to be frank unless outfitted with air conditioning soon this is the kind of hotel which climate change will render obsolete for much of the year. The carpets on the stairs are dingy and need a good cleaning. I see since my last stay they've put oscillating fans in the rooms (at least on the 3rd floor where I was). It's very hard to cool those rooms because of their almost attic-like location - even when it's cool outside overnight and the fan is on and the window fully open. One last gripe: I didn't like that they got rid of the Molton Brown amenities. Also, why provide just one hand/body wash container? You have to keep moving it between the sink and shower.

I loved the location, and the beauty of the old building we were in.

There are no lifts as the building is too old and fragile to instal one, so I had two flights of stairs and osteoarthritis in my hip which made the steps very painful at times.

Die Lage des Hotels ist gut, wenn man mit dem Eurostar reist.

Das Zimmer war im Nebengebäude im dritten Stock ohne Fahrstuhl gelegen. Das Zimmer hatte ein Fenster, was nur minimal zu öffnen war und auch nicht wirklich gut offen geblieben ist. Im Bad gab es keine Handseife und Duschgel. Da gibt es bessere Hotels in dem preislichen Segment
