The hotel is new, modern, and very well located, between Russell Square and Holborn stations and within easy walking distance of Covent Garden. The staff were exceptionally kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay, which really made a difference and contributed to a very pleasant experience.

The room was very small, with very limited space to move around comfortably. Unfortunately, the room floor was dirty when we checked in, which was disappointing, especially for a new hotel. The room also had a smart TV, but in practice it was not very useful as Netflix did not work.

The air conditioning worked very well, as did the shower.

There was no shelf space to store clothes. I had to live out of my suitcases. There was no frigibar to keep my water chilled. When I asked to reserve a taxi on Friday afternoon to take me to a function that evening I was told that this was unnecessary as reception would call a taxi in just two minutes. When I asked them to call me a taxi that evening I was then informed that no taxi was available and that it would be half an hour before one arrived. I tried to hail one on the street but without success. Eventually I had to take the tube while dressed for dinner in the sweltering heat. I would be obliged if you could advise your staff to inform guests that they should book a taxi well in advance if they needed to get to their destination in good time. . Philip Ryan
