Great location and near the venue. Breakfast was good.
Check in wasn't as smooth as usual and had a £50 deposit taken from my card aswell which they haven't done in the past and still not received the money back into my account.

Friendly staff, nice pool and leisure facility.
Tired former grand hotel. TV service in room was poor - didn’t really work. All the windows could do with a solid clean.

Great hotel, perfect location right next door to the train station and about 10 minutes walk into the centre of town.
Comfy bed, excellent breakfast and really lovely helpful staff.
Nothing I really disliked, I've stayed here before which is why I stayed again. I feel that this room could have had more attention to detail with updating . Nothing major and it certainly won't stop me from booking this hotel again.

Central location ideal for me to get to the GNR start line and next to the train station
Staff were friendly especially Rokeyya at the reception and the slim English lady cant remember her name apologies
Extremely loud music from nightclub next door which kept me awake for both nights especially on race day I was kept awake by the loud music until 4am

"Great location right next to the station and metro, perfect for The Great North Run."
