Langham Hotel Eastbourne

Very clean comfy and solidly built - lovely sea view and excellent staff care. Thank you.

Pavement around to car park was very rough. Windows did not open at top to let warm air escape.

Very welcoming

Loved the old building, reminded me of visiting my grandparents! Beautiful, clean, wonderfully helpful staff. From the moment we walked through the doors, we were greeted professionally, excellent customer service from reception, bar staff and restaurant staff at breakfast - it was my birthday and they surprised me with a candle in my hash brown…. and all the staff sang to me! I was very shy but so touched by the gesture. Will definitely be returning. Also in a wonderful sea front location, no more than 10 minute walk to the pier and town centre for bars and restaurants. I could sit and watch the sea from the window for hours!

Only two small things - one of the sash window in our room didn’t stay open (the other one did). It just meant we struggled a little with air flow - it was warm but there was a fan. The other to note is the parking - the hotel has very limited parking and the additional parking is about a four minute walk in a gated car park so you have to have someone from the hotel let you in and out. This didn’t bother us as it was explained when I called. As I’m familiar with Eastbourne, I didn’t mind - just something for people to be aware of when booking. Did not detract from our stay - the hotel had everything we needed.

The room looked over a car park Shower head sprayed in all directions and no way to keep your hair dry as the head was too high and not detachable. Dated bedding, satin eiderdown and fleece blanket that was ready to out. The bed was a narrow single and quite short. Room was very dated (90s beige and brown look)- not crisp Felt like an old age home bed sitter ( Reception and restaurant felt a bit too british colonial - not just posh)
