Superb location - access to popular Lake District towns and countryside
I booked a suite. Only be luck did I discover before arrival that it was not accessible by lift - I have limited mobility - surely this could be made obvious on line. They gave me a different room on the ground floor and called it an upgrade. No. It was a larger room with more beds but definitely not comparable to. Suite. Nothing on the walls so rather drab. Did not think around £500 for 3 nights was good value.

Old and traditional. Swimming pool and changing rooms were by good. Bed and room was nice and a good selection of teas and coffees. Tv was good. Plenty of car parking although it wasn’t obvious how to get in from the car park. It was quiet so was able to get a good nights sleep.
Pool was cold and jacuzzi wasn’t hot enough. Breakfast price was £18 although it was included, I wouldn’t pay £18 for it, it was too basic. Staff were slow. We arrived with 3 other couples, and due to rooms not being ready we waited 30 minutes in the reception before we were even seen to. The staff asked if we wanted to book in for dinner, however we had just got there and had no idea what was on the menu. The view from our room was of another building not the best when you’re surrounded by mountains and greenery.
