Good size room & bathroom. Good location. Plenty of choice at breakfast.

No hot water in the bathroom basin. Reported to reception but nobody came out to look. Shower curtain torn. Shower head needed to be replaced.

it was our 3rd time staying on Gili Trawangan & 3rd stay at Vila Ombak. it’s an Amazing location you can walk to from the boat & less than 20m’s from the main strip of restaurants, but at the end so it’s not crowded or busy out the front. the staff are outstanding. From the moment you arrive you are made to feel welcome & they could not be any more lovely. we enjoyed chatting with the staff & the friendly hello’s each morning. Buffet breakfast & the pool bar & restaurant are all great quality & good value for money. (including room service) Our 2 King sized beds were so comfortable, with linen & pillows to match. house keeping were fantastic for the whole stay. the rooms outdoor bathroom was a nice touch with lovely greenery & high walls for privacy. always fresh towels & bathroom amenities stocked Vila Ombak also offers seafood bbq dinner on the beach, as well as bike hire, tour booking & has its own day spa & 24/7 medical centre. highly recommend & will be coming back

the 2nd pool (hidden pool) needs some touch ups & the bar was not open during our stay. in previous stays this has been open so we assume this was due to lack of tourism from 2020-2022 and that we were visiting in low season prior to any maintenance for the year. also, some minor upgrades are required around the main pool deck, but certainly not anything that would stop from recommending or staying again.

when I visited gili four years back. I thought to myself I’d love to stay here next time. fast fwd Covid pandemic.. here I am! the location is great, near to pier yet far enough from all the hustle and bustle. staff friendly all day happy hour! pizza was good too a lot of greens! bbq dinner buffet a must try

property is dated and a lot of loose broken tiles around the pool. snooker table was in bad shape so we couldn’t play a lot of mosquitoes (understandable for an island) but the toilet has opened airing design so we can’t keep the mosquitoes out. we booked 3 rooms. my parents room tho, when the upstairs room got occupied, their toilet lights were leaking water 😳 breakfast buffet was a horrible sight for us, there were so many flies. around the food and in the dining. after testing the breakfast spread, we were skeptical about trying the all you can eat dinner buffet. but lucky we did, it was so good!

Toilet was placed on a step with nowhere for your feet. Entey door to bathroom was a tiny bifold door that didn’t open all the way. Room phone was never answered. Bottled water wasn’t always supplied. I don’t believe the room I booked was value for the amount of money I paid. Also my room was upgraded and I was charged the upgrade.

After landing and seeing the main strip’s hotels in the flesh, I chose Ombak and it was worth it. It’s the best on the strip for sure. Stunning pool with waterfall and swim up bar. Excellent service (except for a grumpy room service guy) and daily housekeeping. Whoever folds the pool towels smokes like a chimney but who doesn’t like a little smoke with their wet towels. Breakfast is rather dire and I’d recommend elsewhere. The spa is insanely good. The first massage I got was literally the best I’ve ever had in my life - she’ll have knocking down her door to get in. However the second girl was so bad it felt like chalk down a blackboard. Go figure. There’s a 24 hour medical clinic on the grounds which is handy for excessive alcohol/sun consumption. Overall I thoroughly recommend it, the beauty of the grounds will be the perfect holiday you’ve dreamed off. Giant chess sets and pool tables set amongst the trees. Stunning old trees and frangipanis everywhere. Rooms are gracious and spacious with bad art and the air conditioner will blow an arctic gale if so desired. Indeed the fridge literally froze my fruit solid. Bathrooms are larger than most peoples apartments. My toilet offered up some peculiarly and unpleasant smells but think that’s fairly common here. Despite very old wooden boards that may give you a pinch or two on passing, the heart of the place is the pool, views of the beach and the peaks of Lombok carpeted in green, listening to the waterfall and tinkling of the trotting ponies on the boulevard outside. The pool is large and well kept. There are no rowdy teenagers or children (or adults) for that matter. It’s a lot more gentile, and insta worthy than the other places I saw. There are baggage porters and room services and you can get CNN and HBO on the tv. Staff are pure joy - such wonderful service. It’s close enough to the action but not noisy (other than the call to prayer) perfectly situated. Walk from the ferry (5 min walk) or take a horse.

One of the very beautiful scenic and large resort situated on the eastern part of the island buzzing with activities and shops!! Very close to Harbour..Lies just opposite to the beach with hoardes of restaurants,money exchange shops, eateries lined up in few meters of walk. Tip for Indian Travellers-Directly head to Pesona Beach Resort and Spa for Authentic Indian Food few meters away from Ombak

- I was amazed when such a star resort asked me to pay when i asked them to send 3 empty plates to my room.Having stayed all over the world in top resorts i have never experience this service and denial to such a small request.I request management to kindly look into this policy and amend per global standards please..

Location is good, you can rent bikes here and exchange money. SPA is a must try, we were coming back every day. Hotel territory is green and well taken care of, two swimming pools, few tables to play chess.

This hotel “screams” for renovation. But it is not the biggest problem. Level of cleanliness is low: dirty cutlery, water glasses with someone’s lipstick on it, strange splashes on the walls in the breakfast area, bed with cockroaches, sun-bed covers are dirty and with holes in it … it is not 4 star hotel, not even close. Doors in the room doesn’t close properly. The only thing you can eat for breakfast are fruits. I opened sausages and salami and it was sticky and smelled spoiled, noodles are dry.

The staff in the restaurant/room service we’re great! The staff in the spa were amazing also. The front pool/bar was great The food was also really nice and we had a $200K buffet and New Years Eve Buffet dinner was worth the price and very fulfilling.

Check-In wasn’t great, they seemed a bit confused. Last time I stayed in 2015, you were greeted with a mocktail or water and very welcoming. Our phone wasn’t connected so we couldn’t call for room service and I had an accident and hurt myself so couldn’t call for first aid. The TV had one channel that we could understand but the picture was low quality Wifi was non-existent for first two days The room was next to their workshed so we could smell petroleum or different smells and a lot of mosquitoes and lizards entered the room.

The pool was very nice.

We had room 2006, the stairs to the bathroom were dangerous, it wasn’t clear when booking that the bathroom was down the steps. if I’d had booked this for my mum, it would be completely inaccessible

The staff were so lovely (especially Andi at the restaurant & bar). Very convenient location and facilities were clean :)

-I was already here 6 years ago and see that the property is not well good maintained, especially some traditional Lumbung hut. Wood is brocken, doors can not be closed properly. -Also stuff, especially during breakfast is not attentive. -wifi is available, but was not possible to connect
