Very friendly staff, lovely square in the middle, breakfast was good.
The room we were in was quite dark due to the shutters - these can be opened partially but was difficult to get natural sunlight in.

Super location. Comfortable large room and bed. Nice and helpful staffs. We enjoyed travel around Cusco city and day trip to popular destinations as well (went to Vinicunca Rainbow mountain and Machu Picchu). Ordinary breakfast. Wi-fi was OK.
Bathroom amenities was small. This was a little problem that could be improved.

Central, pretty, comfortable
Can be a little noisy

Good location, beautiful building, clean rooms, and helpful staff. This hotel provides a comfortable stay at the heart of Cusco's historic center. If you can get a courtyard facing room, possibly on the second floor, it would be amazing. The hotel doesn't have a bar, restaurant or spa, like some other restored colonial hotels, but it offers great value for money with helpful staff and a decent breakfast.
Street facing rooms are very noisy however, courtyard facing rooms are super quiet and nice

Unbeatable location, great staff, nice room and facility (a printer room to print documents).

The staff went way beyond our expectations to take care of us. There was a train strike going on and they helped us solve the problem and get us up to Machu Picchu. The breakfast was wonderful!!

staff, facilities, everything was great

Overall the property was nice and the facilities were good. The staff were also really helpful
Half way through our stay the plumbing stopped working effectively and the toilet would not flush. There is also very little soundproofing in the room and the people who stayed in the room above us were walking around at all hours of the night and we could hear every step.
we had asked for a room on the second floor but they gave us a ground floor room which had a tiny window and therefore very little natural light coming into the room.

We had an amazing room, which was most welcome after the Inca Trail. This hotel is great value for money. Breakfast is decent.

everything amazing! breakfast, staff, rooms (king size bed)!
TOTALLY recommend it!

The location was nice, in a busy commercial street. Very near the main tourist area, but distinctly local and ‘real’. Market around the corner. Historic building is nice. Rooms are large.
The hotel lacks the charm that I had expected. After some traveling we learned this is part of a hotel chain and then it made sense. Like staying in a Peruvian Mercure hotel. It might suit some, but we thought it was bland. Like I read in another review, one night we had a room where the sheets had all kinds of mystery stains, and there was a huge wallop of curly mystery hair in the blanket. The bathroom mirrors were never really clean. Some bathrooms had a sewage smell. Staff was very uninterested. Breakfast buffet was so-so. We had booked four different stays, but after three we switched hotels because we were kind of fed up with the hotel.
The historic rooms are large and with authentic details, but most don’t have much natural light or windows. Most of the room is empty space. No minibar, no iron. It feels basic.
Number one problem though: the beds are huge, but too short! I’m 1.93 and the beds are 1.90 long. They are 2.00 wide, but then you’d have to change the sheets and sleep sideways. What a waste of these huge rooms! We’ve slept in 16 euro hotels, and basic lodges deep in the jungle and these all had normal sized beds. Why would an upscale hotel, aimed at international tourists buy extra short beds? It ruined my sleep.

Everything! Everyone was so kind, welcoming and accommodating to our early arrival. The room was so nice and very clean!
My only complaint was that I did not get cell service in the room and the wifi signal in the room was very weak.

Location was great. Room was spacious.
Communication regarding extras. I paid for an oxygen mask in cash and they hounded me to pay - but I already had.

The staff was very attentive. Anything I needed from transportation to food to speaking to others for me “me not being fluent Spanish speaker” staff would help me.
Adding a lunch to the menu would be nice

We loved everything about our stay at Tierra Viva. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful: we had complex logistics due to hiking the Inca Trail and they were able to store our luggage for us, and even provide a breakfast we could take with us at 4am!! They also helped immensely with arranging COVID testing, printing documents we needed to travel and anything else we needed. Rooms are spacious and comfortable and water is hot in the shower with good water pressure. The location is also fabulous, right in the center of Cusco and close to the main Plaza.
Honestly, nothing- it was great!

The room was clean, the bed was super comfortable and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
We were in the 2nd floor and the wifi was very weak. Since Cuzco is cold, the water could be hotter.
