The villa is spacious, well equipped and surrounded by large gardens. The villa's terrace is a wonderful place to be with magnificent views out to sea towards the Çukurbağ Peninsula.

The listing says "Villa Aktan offers a private beach area". It's not private as locals freely wander through the villa's gardens to access the sea-front. Sometimes they pass discreetly, other-times noisily right by the villa's terrace. The host suggested locking the driveway gate to stop them. However the only effect of this was to make the locals complain of having to climb over the boundary wall. Additionally the villa feels a bit tired in places, e.g. discoloured tile grout, poor condition woodwork, bags of rubbish in the garden.

Spacious villa, with gated large parking area. The villa is built on multiple levels on a hillside, great view across bay with mountains on the periphery, and stepped access to a small (public) concrete swimming platform. Comfortable large terrace suitable for all meals and expected summer outdoor living. Garden is large with mature shady trees and nice flowers. However, be aware of the narrow and steep driveway entrance.

Several facts could have been communicated to us either in pre-booking phase or on arrival to manage our expectations. An in-person handover (rather than a number/text to call) would have dealt with them. For example the villa external iron gate effectively offered free access to within a few feet of the villa terrace and down to the swimming area for anyone in the neighbourhood. To us this felt like an invasion of our privacy and a security risk. When told to lock the gate, some folk simply climbed over it or entered adjoining garden area. If left open even a motor scooter entered and occupied the villa parking space. We noted there were three operational cctv cameras around the house. The terrace was occupied mostly the whole day by what we initially believed was a sleepy stray dog but in fact belonged to someone in the neighbourhood. We are neither dog lovers nor dog haters but did not expect to share our holiday with a dog! And cats simply did their own thing. they came and they left - even when attacked by the jays flying around the garden!

The house was beautiful, very charming with an incredible view. We loved the location, the seaview.

Location, nice neighbors dog. Good equipped kitchen. Great terrace with good view. The house has its own pier with a enter in the sea.

Smell at house wasn't good, I think the owner need to change detergents. The condition of the house is not the best, the doors are swollen and do not close properly

Location is so cool! Just few steps down to a sea. Awesome view, fantastic sunsets Villa is located far enough away from the noise of the town, but close enough to get to a supermarket or a restaurant very quick.
