Bio Hotel Palermo

A comfortable room with an excellent aircon which was welcome. Good check in instructions made it easy to find and get keys etc.

Didn't see a member of staff the whole time I was there. I suspect this is normal. It's not really a hotel, it's airB&b style rented out rooms in a multi use tower block. It's a decent standard though and the chap who manages seems a really nice guy and is very responsive.

Excellent central location and very good air conditioning; these were the only major positives for us.

I travel frequently and always try to leave positive reviews, but this stay was very disappointing. The Wi-Fi did not work at all during our 7-night stay, which was particularly serious for us as we had work deadlines and needed a reliable connection. Although management explained that the problem was with their provider and beyond their direct control, no alternative solution was offered, such as a hotspot or another temporary internet connection available nowadays. We also experienced repeated hot-water problems, poor housekeeping and a poorly maintained terrace. Excellent location, but overall the property did not match the hotel experience advertised on Booking.com.
